I like the background. As for helmets I gotta have a modular with flip down sun visor.

I wanted a modular with a sun visor too, but I didn't want to pay the money for a really good/safe one right now- so for now this helmet will be great and plenty safe. Glad you like the background of my new office! Thanks for watching!

Yes the helmet looks great I don’t know if the red and white design goes with the dark horse chieftain

I think it will be ok. Plenty of black in the helmet. And the red matches the Indian logo on my jacket. Always have to match - it's the most important part of motorcycle gear selection 🤣

Sure is a nice looking bucket ...Does that composite material make it light?
@MOTOBLADE

Yes it does! Much lighter feeling than my current DOT bucket. Haven't thrown them on the scale yet for comparison, but I can definitely tell the difference. Thanks for watching!

So how is the helmet holding up? I’m looking to purchase this helmet but I’m seeing some mixed reviews.
@MOTOBLADE

I love it. It is holding up great. No issues at all. I would recommend getting the pin lock shield for inside the visor to prevent fogging - but that happens with any helmet. Could not be happier with this helmet. Hope that helps in some way!

There's a flaw to this helmet. The synthetic leather at the base of cheek pad will get ripped as the time pass and usage of the helmet. Mine already ripped at the left side, although it does effect to nothing, but the looks just threw me off.
@MOTOBLADE

Sorry you had that happen. Mine has held up super well. Not a rip or a wear spot. One full year of riding with 5k miles on it. Contact HJC, maybe that would replace the cheekpad for you? Since they are removable/replaceable.

@@MOTOBLADE Thanks for the reply, I will consider it. Because the FG-17 variant is not that common for my country, so it might be an import/shipping to get the cheek pad replaced for me. The more common variant is the well known RPHA for my country, so it's plenty bits.

So how did you do the fitting test, when buying online?
@MOTOBLADE
5 жыл бұрын
There is a sizing chart for the helmet provided by HJC. I took a fabric measuring tape and followed their instructions for measuring my head. Also, since I got it from Revzilla, if it was the wrong size I could exchange it fast and free- hence why I wanted to purchase from them.

@@MOTOBLADE Sure, if they provide with exchange, after you have actually tested the fit. Most online shops only allow returns on items that have not been taken out of the packages. I just was wondering, because from my experience, the sizing charts tend to be off just a little. This is why I usually go to store and test different sizes on spot, with proper force, trying to turn my head in the helmet etc.

@@theodorstravels I would have gone to the store if I could. But my nearest real bike shop for that is over 300 miles away. Revzilla let's you take it out and test it - as long as you dont take it on a ride, you can exchange anything. That's why I chose them - very happy with their service.

I bought one and the cheek pads are way too tight the rest of the helmet fits ok but now I have to buy different cheek pads...that sucks....
