That's a 10/10 as it sits, but if that thing belched out some smoke when the engines started turning it would be extra next level!

Modelling is now getting to the point that the next inevitable realism is for the model to fly - and thats how you'll end up in RC modelling!!

This is an absolute beauty! What metallic paint do you use? It looks super cool! I always find polished aluminium to be a bit toy-like and chrome too much. This looks real. Or is it postshading or varnish? Excellent job!

Hi thanks for the comment. It’s Alclad airframe aluminium sprayed over Alclad gloss black base. Alclad acqua gloss coat on top.

@@ZeddysDad Thank you very much, I have all these at home 😀 Airframe is really a great color, shiny yet deep. Keep on the good work 👍

Awesome build 👏 How did you wire it? I looked at the kit but I can’t see how you can put the circuit inside the fuselage and then wire up the motors in the wings afterwards.

Hi, thank you. The control board is inside the bomb bay. I had to wire up both sides engines, glue the each wing to its respective fuselage half, then plug them (and the wingtip & landing lights) into the board before glueing the fuselage. Complicated but doable!

@@ZeddysDad Thanks for the quick reply! That was what I was thinking, but it seems extremely difficult to merge the two fuselage parts well together with the wings attached…. And then painting it as one big piece. I really salute you for the great result on this operation… wow 😮

It's very very cool as expecting smoke to pop out of those engines that would have been better is that better is that your next effort And where did you get the electronics package
@ZeddysDad

Hi thanks for that. No idea how I’d do smoke I’m afraid but the electronics come from here www.magicscalemodeling.com/shop/Combo-HKM-B-25-Mitchel-1-32-Plug-and-play-Electronic-set-Engines-Sound-&-Lights-p371037381

David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Saturday, 6 July, 2024) Well, this is clever! And your natural metal treatment (BareMetal Foil?) is exemplary! Whilst I have your attrition, has Hong Kong Models issued, or would you know if they are planning upon producing, a 1:32nd-scale kit of an earlier variant of North American’s B-25 Mitchell USAAF Medium Bomber?

Can this light/sound set be used on say a 48th Lancaster? I'm working on the old Tamiya Grand slam w/ props that spin. I am puzzling how to add wing & a cabin light...

I think magic scale modelling might do one for the Lancaster, yes

This is the 2nd kit I've seen you finish. Your bare aluminum metal is a fantastic look. I wonder, how hard is it to add the electronics to these kits? How much modification is involved? I'm thinking of buy the Titanic version.
@ZeddysDad

Thank you. How easy? Such a subjective question! The electronics themselves connect up v easy & straightforward. Each magic scale modelling kit is unique to each model ac (eg this is made for the B-25) and their instructions are getting better, even suggesting where you need to make holes, enlargements etc which they didn’t all before. Good luck 👍🏻
