Video summary:
Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), also known as Saigon, is the most populous city in Vietnam, with a population of around 9.3 million in 2023! There are over 8 million travellers who visit Ho Chi Minh City every single year - and no wonder why.
We stayed in the Silverland Ben Tanh which was honestly such a highlight of the trip. I don't normally rave about accomodation, as I like getting outside and exploring the streets of a foreign country - but the Silverland surely was another world in and of itself! If you're looking for a place to stay, we'd definitely recommend it. It's newly renovated, with modern architecture and only around $100 AUD per night (at the time we booked in October, 2023).
Check it out and thank us later!
🏰 There are many iconic historical landmarks that tell the story of Vietnam's past. From the historic Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon to the War Remnants Museum, each site holds a piece of the city's rich history.
🍜 We LOVE our food, and we loved the food scene in Ho Chi Minh City. From savory street food stalls to trendy cafes, we ate some of the city's most beloved dishes from pho, banh mi, and incredible Vietnamese coffee!
🌃 Nightlife and Entertainment: As the sun sets, the city comes alive with a vibrant nightlife. Join me as we explore the bustling night markets, experience the energy of Bui Vien Street, and perhaps even try our luck at one of the lively karaoke bars.
🚃 Getting Around, we walked most of our way around places - and took a Grab when the distance was a little too far (or when it started raining out of nowhere!)
Whether you're planning your own trip to Ho Chi Minh City or simply want to vicariously experience the charm of Saigon, this travel vlog is your passport to an unforgettable adventure in Vietnam's southern gem.
