Jim, this was great. At 71, I have more life in me than a lot of others. What gives me pleasure now is being able to share. I earned the right. Good job sir.

Thank you Bob. It seems that the older we get the less we need. Things simplify.

Geez, I got a lot to be thankful for - healthy family, job/house, plenty of Lego to build, bikes to ride, weather to ride in. Doing well over here! Glad you got another one off to college - that's gotta be a good feeling! :D Also, congrats, Gramps! :D

Nice video Jim. Like you, I have a lot to be grateful for. I put my family first. I have my own company which provides a lot of flexibility. I have generalized anxiety disorder which has both positive and negative impacts to me and those around me but I am thankful that I get better at managing it as I get older. A long term client of mine just died from an unexpected illness at age 64. The universe reclaims all of the gifts bestowed to a person eventually.

Thank you for commenting. I have more depressive issues coupled with mild Asperger’s which probably contributes to being resistant to change with some things, which can trigger some anxiety when I have no control. The universe doesn’t have favorites and is unforgiving. Humans on the other hand have the power to choose actions, but we tend to piss away our opportunities and gifts and when we get to that age where we become keenly aware we have far fewer days ahead than behind, it can be overwhelming. What is left before me is good and I am fortunate for what I have. Sometimes I lose sight of that. Maybe it’s something that’s always been there. My 12th grade Spanish teacher said I had a 5’2 Sicilian inside of me. :) it’s kind of funny in a few ways, yet true. There’s a side of me that’s a scrapper that I don’t let out but wants to.

@@my.motorrad Sometimes it is good to unleash the beast as it were (or at least to know that you could if you needed to). I am having a lot more of those Memento Mori episodes too. I try not to dwell on it but use those reminders to be more in the moment and be more grateful for what I do have as you pointed out in your video.

@@cycletron For the last few months have using the heavy bag a couple times a week. Got it for one of my kids last christmas, so I thought I'd make use of it. I use an app to train. One, hats off to boxers. 4 rounds does me in. Two, I think I would have been ok at it, more of a Ron Lyle/George Foreman style, but getting hit in the head doesn't do anyone any favors. :) CJ, thank you for your conversation. I hope you and your family have a great holidays and you keep your chin up too.
