"Need some help?" "I'm good, I got a system" I really felt that, lol. That's basically a canned answer for me haha

Thank you for posting this. I’ve been struggling with how to do this. As a 53 year old female, my upper body strength is limited. Cheers,

On the mast step hinge part there’s a pin, I didn’t see you take it out? You must be using it because otherwise the bottom would just kick out. If you do use one, do you use the hole labeled 14 even though it’s a 16? I’ve heard people say that, just curious if you have any experience with that

Yes, I usually leave the pin in until the very last minute. My boat didn't come with a pin, so I use the pin for the main sheet block 😉 I think it depends on the day, my mast hinge is pretty bent up, but I think I usually go with the 14 hole 😊

@@robincdyer going to replace my rigging today, I’m able to store my boat by the beach, so the mast just stays up. It stressful to drop it…but it’s even more stressful to sail on old rigging!

@@Mitoa that's awesome! I just stripped the plastic coating off of my old rigging to inspect it and found a bunch of rust and failed cables, even when it looked OK on the outside 😳
