Sweeeet! Love those vintage Hodakas! My friends had the models sold by Steen's in Alhambra, CA (best known for their Taco mini-bikes, but also sold Rickman Metisse as well), their "SS" model with Ceriani forks and rear shocks, and navy blue painted frame. Great little bikes, super reliable, nice trail riding characteristics and were very popular in the 100cc races in So. California.

Brings back memories. Had a friend who had one. The first yr model. I had a 71 Super Rat. Stock except for a Webco head. My Super Rat was faster top end wise but through the gears they were pretty close. The Combat seemed to come on the pipe faster and had to short shift it or it would fall on it's face I think the gear ratio was tighter on the Combat. My Super Rat seemed to wind out longer through the gears. but by the time I hit fourth I was out front. I loved those Hodaka's. Nice bike. Just about indestructible.

I had two of those. First one I bought from a gal that got it new, a 73 model. I got it a few years later. In the 80s I found another and restored it. So much fun. Both of mine had the mud packer Acront aluminum trims.

That nice video brought back so many memories of those being a hot bike by the time I was buying the larger displacement bikes. Love that model. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds great, crisp and snappy. Looks fantastic, and I'm an Oregonian, Pabatco made those bikes right here, in my state. Thanks for sharing this beautiful specimen. Envious.

A little late! By the time this 125 came out the Elsinore was king. Hodaka had their moment in the sun, but it was over!😢

I think a few Super Combats gave them a run for their money at the start.
