Great review brother! First carbon fiber plate I raced in was the Endorphin Pro 1.

I feel like other than Nike obviously Saucony was the next brand to really figure out super shoes. Ironically Hoka was 2nd to market but man until the rocket x2 I didn’t feel like there was a real race option

Totally agreed on the narrow midfoot and pronounced arch. I'm glad I tried it on in person and ultimately did not end up purchasing. I wanted to like it but I saw no point in forcing myself to try it when the step-in feel totally disagreed with my foot shape. Ultimately went with the superblast 2 and was able to try it on and find it at a local running store today.

100% glad you were able to try on first. The fit was just so awkward overall

Great review! Thanks !😊 Is this shoe good for wide feet people?

I would probably say no, the width in the midfoot in particular is pretty narrow

The heel cutout and aggressive geometry that only favours midfoot to forefoot striking on the cielo x1 eliminates it being a super trainer for the masses. The skyward X and new Mach X2 allow the Everyman to heel strike and go fast with differing weights and stack.

Valid point on the Cielo, have disagree on the skyward though. It’s very difficult to hold a pace in that shoe to me.

@@raddadbodtv Interesting, do you mean any pace or a tempo/faster pace?

$225 is steeeeeeep. I agree, these companies need to take a chill pill with their prices😂

A shoe rotation cost like $1k now if you use a super shoe, super trainer, speed day, and daily trainer 😢

Found them for 130€ and just couldn’t pass them up for that price, was the last pair available in my size! I have no idea how they will be on my feet as I’ve never even tried Hokas before but it’s a risk I was willing to take considering the price. Returns are easy either way 😅

Sorry but just to clarify, when you say stick to your normal size, does you typically get your running shoes the same size as your casual shoes, or a half size up is what you consider your TTS in running shoes?
@raddadbodtv

Kind of impossible for me to answer this because I don’t know how you like your casual shoes to fit v your running shoes. I’m strictly talking running shoes here so if you wear a 10 in running shoes you should wear a 10 in these
