The video is divided into 3 Parts: The Providers, The Protectors & Punjab
This video is about Hola Mohalla, also known as Hola, which usually falls in March, a day after Holi, the Hindu festival of colors. It was established by the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, as a gathering of Sikhs for military exercises and mock battles to ensure preparedness and martial spirit among the community.
The term "Hola Mohalla" translates to "mock fight parade" in Punjabi. During this festival, Sikhs gather in large numbers at Anandpur Sahib, a holy city in Punjab, India, and engage in various displays of martial arts, such as Gatka (a form of Sikh martial arts), horse riding, and military-style processions.
Hola Mohalla is not just about martial arts and displays of physical strength; it's also a time for Sikhs to come together in unity, to reaffirm their commitment to Sikh values, and to celebrate the spirit of courage, valor, and community service.
The festival usually lasts for three days and is marked by a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, singing, and traditional Sikh foods. It's an occasion to commemorate history, culture, and traditions while fostering a sense of camaraderie and solidarity within the community.
