As only the great Buddy Emmons could. Such a wicked monster player.

The mic on that little Sony tape recorder did a spectacular job documenting this. TY for preserving and posting it.

Back in the day....this was a great opener and break song........never imagined it could ever sound this good, but we didn't have a Bobby Caldwell or a "BIG E" either.... giants like none other!

tbfnyc Not in 1974 ! Sorry, but the Steel Guitar Convention did not move into the Chase-Park Plaza until 1976. Your caption states 1974. In 1974, the 3rd National Steel Guitar Convention took place on September 14th & 15th at the Holiday Inn at Lindberg Blvd & I-70.The bandstand, rear curtain and ceiling in your Photo of your Video above is not the Chase-Park Plaza stage (Korissan Room, to be more specific) ~ the ceiling on the stage at the Chase was considerably higher than the acoustic-tile ceiling with recessed lighting in your picture. Also, the rear curtain, behind the musicians, at the Chase had a huge multi-colored sign twelve feet across and eight feet high saying "Scottys Steel Guitar Convention".

This is the classic all-time great version. But QUESTION: is there any way these photos could be posted somewhere so that I could download them? They are incredible!
