I have the R20 for a few years and it is fantastic. If i were to do it again, I would get the R25 just so I can fit shoes, towel, and change of clothes for the gym. You probably can get all of them in the R20 depending on how much work you want to put into it.

Own two Kriega waterproof bags and some seams start to pull apart after mild use. I took the bag to the dealer, who to his credit honored the warranty and exchanged the bag. He also told me that he has many new Kriega bags returned for the same fault. I took my new bag to an upholstery shop to have several seams reinforced with thicker nylon thread.

Life Is about balance between safety and fun. Precise pivot point is personal. For you 3/4 helmet is not safe, for someone it is, for someone else just sitting on motorcycle is considered unsafe. Concept of safety for a person changes with time. Personally, I never rode a motorcycle because of my view on safety but now I am working hard so I could buy a motorcycle next summer. And full face helmet.

Fit is important. Full face helmets don't fit all faces. Helmets are pretty much designed to fit younger men. As we get older, some men develop heavy jaw and cheek bones in their 40s. I haven't found a FF that will go on without being loose on the crown.
@kana22693

*+mrcaptaincrazy* If you truly believe that, then why not go for the safest possible option? Buy a car, preferably a big one like an SUV.
@MrCaptainCrazy
7 жыл бұрын
Edward Armstrong Full faced helmets are safer than half helmets. As for getting a SUV, I already have a pickup truck.
@jeffslade1892
7 жыл бұрын
I have a big 4x4 SUV but that's 'cos I live in the country and need a big load hauler. And no, it's not a belief system - If I try to stick a full face that's the right size for my cranium onto my head, it gets stuck on my cheek bones. I am far from unique. It's not a question of whether full face are safer than open, an ill fitting helmet is worse than useless. The helmet /must/ fit correctly. Wearing a helmet doesn't make you safe, they're just PPE (personal protection equipment). Btw an open face helmet is a 3/4, a half helmet is the old pudding bowl with just flaps over your ears.
@MrCaptainCrazy
7 жыл бұрын
Jeff Slade I don't want to sound like a douche but, your comment makes little sense. First, in the case of your face vs asphalt or concrete at any speed is no- contest no matter how thick your jawbone and cheeks are. Second, get a larger full faced helmet. However your point is correct, wearing proper gear is a personal choice.

I think that if you want to commute, you better buy scooter with decent engine size. You will have way more space under the seat(and in other places) and easier to drive, because of automatic transmission. You can even put full size helmet under the seat in most scooters. I think, that it is just more practical.
