The History:
HoliMont's Meadow Double was installed in 1980 and built by Borvig. It is unclear if Meadow replaced a lift or if it was a new alignment altogether, but from what I can gather, no lift was previously operating on its alignment. Meadow serves the middle section of Holimont to the skier's right of Exhibition. Most terrain off of Meadow can be accessed from the Exhibition Express so Meadow does not receive too much skier traffic and typically does not run midweek. It is now HoliMont's oldest lift since the removal of Plum Creek but it is not likely to be replaced anytime soon due to its redundancy with Exhibition.
The Lift:
The Meadow Double is a fairly standard Borvig double chairlift and was installed in 1980. It uses a bottom quad-legged Borvig drive terminal with a custom motor room and counterweight tensioning. It also uses Borvig bail double carriers, '80s style Borvig towers, & Borvig sheaves (not the Leitner ones used in the late '80s). Capacity is rated at 1,200 p/h at a design speed of 450 ft/min. It seems to operate at about 400-425 ft/min in normal operation.
