It's not so easy when it's word against word. You will need to have evidence, no matter what change in the laws there could be.. That's the issue. The stalkers & other abusers learn from every "misstake" they make. So they learn what they can do, what & how to do something & NOT get chaught. They will constantly find a way.. They should be put away somewhere & forgotten about.. They will never be anything else than a scab on society & every living creature in our world.

I'd only escaped my stalker of two years, who could've absolutely offed me one day (and I was very aware of it. I could see it by the way he talked and by the way he acted and by the way he wouldn't leave me alone and threatened me), because I managed to convince him that he can do much better, that I'm damaged goods and have serious health issues, and I have to be alone, and that I completely disinterested in any relationship with anybody. I became not interesting, started wearing bad, old clothes for the time being, stopped using makeup; he even saw me with dirty hair once. I made myself look ill, just for him. If there was another man or anyone who he thought could potentially interest me as a boyfriend back then, I wouldn't be here now. When it worked and he finally left me alone, it was like a huge, black, stinky, poisonous cloud going out the window, though I still had to look over my shoulder for a while.

Plenty of time left for whatever, with the additional hardening of prison life behind his eyes. It's really no wonder he acted so smug and arrogant in court. If this had happened in the United States, he'd have never walked free again. His eventual release would have been in a box, some several decades later. No way I would’ve sat there watching that and not said anything. I had a stalker at a young age as well. When I saw it headed in a bad direction, I told my dad. I tried to handle it but when he started sitting down the street watching me I had to do something. Restraining orders don’t do anything for crazy people. I got two pit bulls, 4 guns and license to carry, and a fence. That fool tried me one day and I let my dogs go on his ass. I made sure he was inside my house and I held him there at gun point until police arrived. I never saw him again. It took a long time for me to date again. I met my husband years later.

Her dad 'may be' a nice person and man, but a terrible father. There is NO way my Dad would allow any man to speak to me the way he did to her in the restaruant. How wimpy of her dad.

You keep leaving these pointless comments against her bereaved father; kicking someone when they're already down. Spew your venom towards the actual bad guy.

Her dad had no balls to stand up to this man...yes she probably would still lay up with him but putting some fear into him would have let him know she was backed up🤦♀️

They weren’t made for each other! He was a chameleon. She was infatuated. He was evil and we all know love can be blind.

Did You Know The Supreme Court ruled back in the 80's, that the police have, and I quote, "...no obligation, be it contractually, morally, ethically, or otherwise, to protect the public at large. The protection of the individual, is the sole responsibility of the individual him or herself..." SEE: DeShaney v. Winnebago County Department of Social Services, 489 U.S. 189 (1989) SEE ALSO: Warren v. District of Columbia, 444 A.2d 1 (D.C. Ct. of App. 1981) This is Public Knowledge. Most people are too lazy to find things out for themselves.
