There is a great essay I read on this called the 1,000 devoted fans. The basis of this essay was you didnt need millions of fans to be a success in the entertaintment business. You just needed 1,000 devoted fans. What does that mean? Simply that your 1,000 devoted fans over the course of a year would spend around $50 on your stuff / merch. That alone is $50k. Remember guys your dreams are possible you just might need to be realistic of how successful they are going to actually end up. You might have hundreds of thousands of fans and be making less than someone with a few ten thousand fans because they're more devoted fans.

Hollywood is completely devoid of any creative ideas. The main formula over the past several years in both television and motion pictures has been to simply take stories and characters that have existed for decades and to re-cast them in a more 'diverse' manner. They have also simply re-made entire shows and movies from the past with more 'diverse' casting and woke messaging such as Cinderella (what a smashing success that was 🤣 ), The Wonder Years, the Marvel movies, Mad Max, Star Wars and the upcoming Gladiator reboot. Where is all of the 'creativity" to come up with new characters and stories from these woke hollywood types? The truth is, people are largely rejecting it and the creativity is gone from hollywood. Even the new academy award rules require that movies have a particular number of "diverse" characters, actors and woke storylines to be considered for an academy award. The focus on telling compelling, creative, engaging stories and entertaining the audience is gone. Holly wood deserves its fate for losing sight of their purpose.

4:33 No Jack. I have nearly 400k subs and been doing this for 12 years. I am pretty qualified as a musician and with a following on KZitem to comment on this topic. Music is the lowest paying content on KZitem (ad revenue). Because most videos can’t be longer than 3-5 minutes due to them being music videos. CPM (rate per 1,000 views is about $1-$2). Or about $1,000-2,000 per 1 MILLION monthly views. Because music is an art, you can’t simply upload daily… or weekly for that matter when it’s original music. So that further limits your earnings online. The true power of making it as a musician is via licensing your music for TV, Film, and shows. Or merch and live events and KZitem CAN help with the traffic for that. If you make $4,000 with 20k subscribers you are already amongst the highest paid in your niche on KZitem. Vlogging channels and financial channel or any channel that produces 10-20 minute videos will have a higher CPM and make $5-10 per 1,000 views. That’s how you see people making so much money. You never see musicians on KZitem making that kind of money from “KZitem ads”. Only via outside sources. However, as soon as they make funny TikTok’s with their music, that’s when they get the big ad revenue bucks. My niches is piano music and (pretty much romantic or melancholic tunes). So I have no chance of making tiny tik toks with my content. But many people have used my music on tik tok with sad stories and I do get some of their cut. Hope this clarifies it a bit.

And music is surely what brings in the most new users to this site. No one that 1st comes to KZitem comes for longwinded reaction videos - most come looking for a song. If the algorithm didn't recommend reaction videos, I would never seek them out...
@MichaelOrtega
3 ай бұрын
@@deductivereasoning4257 that is true. And music doesn’t lose traffic like the rest of the videos on KZitem. I gave views videos from songs. I posted 10 years ago just as if I posted them yesterday because people keep coming back and the algorithm keeps recommending others that are similar and have similar tastes in music. Like I said, it may be the lowest paid in terms of ad revenue, but the traffic is truly endless and as a musician, our job is just to use the traffic and make the money elsewhere using the traffic, if we want to have a career

The most honest thing I can say is do the best and learn to be the best and learn multiple skill sets. You can do side jobs as a hustle. Become a acting coach,become a writer, write scripts. Host work shops on how to be a comedian. Become a stunt actor. Also be willing to travel to do different jobs in the entertainment world. Dont be afraid to intern and work for free. So many actors dont travel to Canada, England etc to get jobs and miss out. Learn to play music. Learn to operate a camera be a stage hand etc. become a agent.

People watched TV when it was somewhat relatable, when it was an exploration of something valuable in the human spirit. Now you maybe find a show where a KZitem clipped short of a show has something of interest but 2-3 episodes in it has obvious agenda airdropped into its script. Movies are even in a worse state, there has been very, very few pieces of entertainment in the last 20 or so years and about 10 years ago was the death of anything memorable, or worth showing up to the theaters to see. There’s usually a lot of distance between something like an all ages Ready Player One or a kid-friendly Inside Out 2 that parents would pay for the over-priced popcorn and soda to check out.

I just want realistic acting, I don’t care if they are black or white, but now everything is about race.
