Digitising Analog records was done by Michael Fremer, and man, who doesn´t know Michael Fremer whos is into records? So, HE did it, and his digitized files are played everywhere at all Audio-Shows over the world. And he is proud of his digital files. That should say enough about if it´s OK to digitize our vinyl records!

It was nice to know that you’re back. I just discovered this now! I personally don’t hate digital. There’s room for both analog and digital. Digital has limitations too. I think the reason most of us like vinyl is because of the “distortion”. Glad to see your back.

I watched your KZitem video when you removed the preamp out of the Audio-Tech TT. That video is (and I had and still do have A-T TT) the whole reason why I upgraded my TT, well part of the reason. I want the at-pl2022 I like the clear and the fact that I can see the gutts, but on the flip side I can't see putting out the amount that they're asking. Lastly, just can't say enough about how much I really enjoy your channel. I am so glad that you're back. Welcome back and I can't wait for more of your content. Keep safe...

And your interpretation of "I wanna know what love is" MEGAWOW! Maybe you didn´t earn much money by singing it, but the original Singer didn´t too 😉😉 So, I am happy your back! spot on! We are on the same page regarding digital vs vinyl. A lot of people misunderstand both media. I won't give up my vinyl, but I'm hooked on Bluetooth while riding my stationary bike. All the vinyl records on my phone sound exactly as they did on the turntable. the silkiness and the pops are as sweet as ever. In fact, I was able to download a cleaner copy of one of my 45's and I didn't enjoy it as much. I missed the imperfections, which contribute to the warmth. For me, it's more about the music and the artists, and less about the equipment. The largest variables are in the recordings themselves.

I found your channel while researching audio equipment. I have not had a quality sound system for years because of life changes, and I really want to get back into it. I really like your honest commentary, and I like the knowledge that you are able to provide! I really hope that you keep up with the vinyl tv approach and would greatly appreciate learning more about other aspects of audio like cds and streaming. I have not made the decision to pull the trigger on equipment yet, but I am leaning towards an integrated network system so I can use it for home theater also. I haven't heard you on the topic of DAC yet, but I haven't watched all of your videos yet. Please keep up the great work!

I was wondering where you went. Glad to see you’re doing good. Love the shirt. I am right on the edge of getting back into spinning records. The main thing I’m looking for before jumping back into vinyl is how to know what mastering to purchase. It’s way to deep and time consuming for me to try to learn all the names and companies. Would love to find out if there is a resource to access for more useful info before purchasing. I quickly became discouraged with recordings that sound terrible. Not willing to just toss money away like that. Don’t really have that problem with streaming.

Craig, great to see you back. You have stayed on my you tube subscription list since you laid low. Your tutorials helped me set up my turntable. I downloaded the protractor, I even bought little digital stylus scales. And best of all after much looking at reviews and after your review on the Fluance 108, I bought one. Or at least my good wife bought it for my birthday. Beautiful turntable. Heavy too, and all I had to do was adjust the tone arm weight slightly. It really was ready to go out of the box. The sound ? Its like listening to a live version of what ever I'm listening to. Theres a deeper fuller sound. Way way better than the old Rotel unit I had, do you remember them? I supposed the amp and speakers help too. A Technics tuner amp (a compromise with my wallet back in the '80's) and Pioneer speakers. I try and buy the Vinyl version of whatever music I'm chasing now. The older artists from the 70&80's who are still out there produce good sleeve art work like back in the day, adds to the enjoyment. Some of the subject matter you hint at is very interesting. I look forward to seeing you back with more. And "Vinyl is final" 👍

It is so good to see you back. Having watched your previous videos I have increased my knowledge of hi fi a great deal. Your video on digitising vinyl was a turning point for me. I have been recording my vinyl collection to a hard drive ever since. People may ask "Why digitise a vinyl collection?" My answer to that is straightforward and there is more than one answer. Firstly if anything bad happened to my vinyl I would at least have the music backed up so I could still listen to it. Secondly, the digital format is perfect for traveling, Just put the albums I want on a memory card, put the card in my phone and I am ready to rock and droll
