Hey QoFy, hey QoFy gang! 👋 👋 Doesn’t this one just make you feel so content and at peace? I feel so relaxed now after hearing this one. I know you have already done HF’s How Great Thou Art, but there is an amazing live version. They were in the middle of a concert in Missouri when a massive storm forced them to stop part way through. The audience were huddling in safety underneath a tent, and the HF boys, being the wonderful people they are, came and sang a song for them, and it was How Great Thou Art. I get chills and cry like a baby every time I watch it, it’s one of the most beautiful clips you will ever watch. Edit: here’s that clip kzitem.info/news/bejne/smh-v4WXqJppY3Y

I truly enjoyed that reaction! I also thoroughly enjoy listening to Home Free do this song -- Just Wow!!! On another note -- Yes, it was said that Adam's "natural" tenor was between Rob and Austin --- And it still holds true!!! --- Doesn't say that he has no other range ... which, I believe was stated to have a baritone or baritone harmony (just can't remember where [it was somewhat obvious]) ... the same would hold true for higher notes also. After all, there is a difference with harmony, harmony vocals, harmony blends... and even in some cases just blends.

Hi man! Love your reactions! Always makes a day bit better :D Adam doesn't sing a lead because he himself doesn't want to. He explained why on their (somewhat) recent = quarantine Q&A basically saying that he finds it easier to simply fill up harmonies than having to do all the funny stuff on the lead since he's never learned how to, hasn't been trained to do so. I can't believe you still haven't checked any of their original songs XD my absolute favorite is Dreamer from their Dive Bar Saints album.

In Home Free's "From the Vault" series (the behind the scenes filming of their videos) when Adam Rupp talks, he's surprisingly soft spoken, so perhaps his singing voice is soft as well (only my guess, I don't have a good enough ear to pick him out when he sings with the others).

Ok... so, Adam Rupp. Tenor. Sometimes sings what would traditionally be an alto harmonization, but in tenor range. So, if you focus at the end of Tim's solo, Adam, Rob, and I think Austin come in unison with Tim up the octave. Adam does this beautiful alto harmonization that drops down from the higher octave's unison (E (old ) , Df (ac-), Df (quaint-),A (ence), B(be), A (for), Af (got.)- I thought I had this right, but it's hard tp tell going back and forth between apps since I'm too lazy to walk to my piano. 🤣) And then you see his face... they almost always highlight that vocal when showing the face... then him and Rob go higher in tight thirds while Chance holds the bass, then Austin comes in with the melody.)
@rachelhurst3224
4 жыл бұрын
See, I think... Chance does the fourth and Adam the third... or more accurately Austin Soprano/descant, Adam Alto, Rob Tenor, but all within the tenor range. Chance baritone and Tim super bass sometimes melody down the octave.
@rachelhurst3224
4 жыл бұрын
He solo's "It is Well..." in "How Great Thou Art" and "Groceries" in Quarentine. Also, you can catch him in Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens. You can also tell he is a tenor when he does his Michael Jackson solo.

Great to see you reacting to this - honestly I think the problem with this song is that you so rarely hear it sung properly, as opposed by loads of drunk people on New Year's Eve. 🤣🤣🤣 I think we've been confusing about Adam Rupp's voice, it's not that he always sings harmony between Austin and Rob, but his range falls between them - he's a tenor, but Austin can sing higher and Rob can sing lower.

That queen acapella group you referenced are called Citizen Queen, they were put together by Scott Hoying, and PTX’s arranger Ben Bram, and another guy called Shams Ahmed. CQ are an all-female acapella group so beatboxer, soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto and contralto. Their Evolution Of Girl Groups is their most viewed song, so start with that. And at the end of the video it tells you everyone is names, which is useful. I would really like some K-Pop reactions, maybe start with Kill This Love by Blackpink, or Fake Love by BTS 😁😁
