The guys from Home Free are masters of harmonies. It's fantastic how they recreate the mood of the song - a masterpiece. And Tim's fantastic bass voice is in my eyes the best there is at the moment, so powerful, expressive and flawless.

This is a cover of a cover. It was released by Dire Straits in 1985, covered by another a capella group called Club for Five. Tim asked them if they would allow Home Free to sing it using their arrangement, and they said yes, but of course they made a few arrangements of their own.

That song gave me chills. Your channel gives me motivation to spread love. They give me hope which we all need right now. I’m an artist. I’m 54 and hadn’t done any drawings for decades. I was lead in a very strange way to start trying again. The first time I heard how much people loved my pictures, I fell on the floor and sobbed. All my work is positive. I don’t sell anything. I send photos and let people get their own prints made. The little bit of money I would get is not worth the joy they can give others. I feel like this my way of spreading love and I feel so lucky to be able to do this 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻

Johnnie, as an Army Retiree and surviver of 2 wars, I appreciate that, within two bars of the song you sensed the spirit behind it. Many "reactors" only hear the amazing chords and incredible individual vocals (and it is ALL that!) There is something more to this composition and why they chose it. Life is short and all we really have is each other! P.S. You forgot George Washington Carver (just under Sowell in my mind.)

Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥

From a very young age, as in 2 or 3 years old I was beaten with a belt, tree limbs, fists and anything my mom could reach. She hated me because my father left her. When I found my dad, I was 19, married and pregnant. I asked him why he left. He told me that he stayed as long as he did to take care of me because my mom wouldn’t. He finally left when he thought I could take care of myself. That is when the beatings began. I can still remember her yelling that she wished I’d never been born. That she wished I would die. It went on until I was 17 and got away from her. I decided that I wold use her as a role model of what not to be. I never had many friends as I was never allowed to connect with anyone growing up. But through out my life I have learned about friends and loyalty. I am now 68. I have had a decent life. The past still haunts me. But there have been good times. Some things in life are hard to overcome, I’m living proof of that it is possible. I’ve had an abusive husband. But through it all I just refused to give up. Some days it was tough to get up and put one foot in front of the other and move forward. I got high school education and a technical school speciality that helped me pay the bills and try and raise my kids. Keep on trying to get out a positive message that life is what you determine you want it to be. It takes hard work with a determination to stand on your own two feet. I never got welfare. I never got public housing. I lived in a tent by a river for awhile. I washed diapers on a scrub board, heated bottles over a campfire. I caught fish and rabbits for food. But I and my kids made it. The accomplishment of my life of going from a scared kid to productive life with kids and grand kids has made my life a good one. I won’t call to a great life, it it has been a h&&l of a lot better than it would have been if I had just given up. God Bless to everyone who is struggling now. Take inspiration from what I went through and start turning you life from darkness to the light.

There is an old joke: Sam goes to church every week and prays to win the lottery. Every week, for months on end, there's Sam, after the service is over, speaking privately with God. Every week, Sam says, "Please, God, let me win the lottery." Finally, after months of this, just before Sam get up to leave, a huge voice calls out. "Sam," the voice says, "Sam, meet me halfway. Buy a lottery ticket." A lot of people don't understand that you get back almost exactly what you put in. You are very inspiring.
