Lyle, I can't believe I've never seen this! It's so beautiful & bittersweet! I'm an only child & my brilliant saint of a mom has been gone for almost 44 years & I still miss her every day so this made my eyes really "leak"! She died 12 years after my dad died, never dated another man, just worked two 37.5 hour per week jobs until the month before she died but still made time for me, my husband & our 2 young sons! I thank God every day for loaning me to her & I've tried to be as good a mom as she was! Happy New Year, Lyle & to all the other Home Fries!

This is a tearjerker! Your story is somewhat similar to mine except that I'm the second youngest of 10 siblings. My wonderful Mom died more than 40 years ago when my two sons were still quite young so they only have vague memories of her, but I still miss her terribly every single day!

@@pinky2245 Rose, I hope you come back so you'll know I didn't ignore your reply to my comment. Rarely get replies! Our stories are truly similar, but I can't imagine having to share my parents with 9 others!😲 I'm an only child because my mom was the 3rd of 6, never caused any problems, studied all the time & was valedictorian of her class so she didn't get much attention! Her mom died at 31 with the youngest sibling being 3 so she & her older sister had to help with the younger boys. She always wondered what it would be like not having to share her parents! So here I am! My sons were young when my mom died but they remember their "Nanny". She "worshiped" them! Happy New Year, Rose!

@@usmadgirl3074 Hello again. My family was very poor, and with me being the 9th of 10 siblings, it was rather like two families ... the older six and then the younger four. But we all had to work and help our parents all the while we were growing up. My eldest brother was 20 years older than me. There are only 3 of us left now, and we are all older seniors. My parents had very many grandchildren, but they were very fond of my two babies. Nice to talk to you. Happy New Year to you and your family!

What a sweet song. Home Free has the nack of making you laugh until you run out of breath and then they pull the rug out from under you with feels. Miss my mom, 29 years ago I lost her but it still feel like yesterday. Adam and his heart beat in the song just rips out the last pieces of feels you have during this song. Have an awesome New Year and thank you for the year, looking forward to the next.

There's a live concert version of this that at the end a little girl in the audience, at just the right moment, yells "Mommy". Everyone gets a good laugh, and Tim jokes with the Mom about "are you available for the rest of the tour".

I was at that show. She managed to bring a smile to my face, even as my mom was wiping away my tears. It was the only show she went to because she has a really bad time with crowds. But we had so much fun that night, and it's something that we'll both remember for our lifetimes.

I haven’t seen this one in a long time! I had chill bumps throughout the whole song on your first run, and parts on the second run. The guys did a fantastic job with it! The sweet harmonies, the soft lead vocals, and then Adam’s gentle percussion in the second half of the song. I lost my mom almost 14 years ago. When this was originally released, it brought tears to my eyes the first few times I watched it. They got us again several years later with “My Old Man” for Father’s Day. I lost my dad in 2014. I believe you reacted to that one.two years ago. You’re not alone. I talk to my parents often.

When my dad passed away he showed me, and my sister, that he was still here with us, just not in physical form. He shows us not just once, but several times. The one that really showed us was about 6 months after he passed away. I had moved from Sweden to Spain a couple of months earlier. So one night O had a dream that my dad was visiting me. We were having lots of fun, went out for dinner, played in the Mediterranean right outside my home, literally, and chilled on the beach. It was wonderful. The only thing that was a bit odd in the dream was that he got a really nice tan, but he was a ginger and he had never had a tan like that in his life. I didn't mention this to anyone, just thought it was sweet to dream so wonderfully about my dad. Another night goes by and get a text message from my sister in Sweden. She said she had dreamt about our dad that night and that he had visited her. They had had lots of fun together and it had been fantastic. There was just this one thing that was strange. He had this really nice tan. We were in the room when he passed away and see saw the window blow fully open and we both saw and felt the wind sweep in and leave and we knew it was his soul leaving. Our dreams confirmed to us that he was still there, and he still is. I not only talk to him often, I feel him. Most importantly, I feel my love and appreciation for him, and when I do he's always here. A sense of smell, a memory triggered that makes me laugh, something disappearing or suddenly showing up from out of nowhere, the feeling of safety I always had around him. He's there in all of it. I just think that most people try to experience their gone loved ones exactly as they were, with all the problems they carried, when they are without those problems now, so most don't experience them because they aren't open to who they became without all the problems off physical life. Happy New Year, Lyle. Thanks for a wonderful reaction. 💃🥰🙏
