I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. Hundreds of artists have covered this song. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it. It is a masterpiece. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group hands down.

IMHO, this is the best version of this song I’ve ever heard. John Denver must be smiling. Thanks for reacting. Rob has the lead in End Of The Road and it’s sooo good.

One of my favourite HF upgrades. Apparently it took them 5 years of working on this arrangement until they felt they'd done his song justice. John Denver would be proud.

Careful there, TYLER! I found HF a couple of years ago when I was home, away from work during Covid. I immediately fell in love with this group and their amazing talent. It’s Okay! A man crush on this band is JUST FINE. I couldn’t stop listening to their music nearly exclusively for almost a year and a half! They’re still my favorite group and I listen to then a little bit everyday. Getting to see them in concert in my hometown in February! 😊 Enjoy!

What I love about their covers is that the give all due respect to the original while still putting their own stamp on it.

Hey Tyler! Thank you for reacting to this absolutely gorgeous version of John Denver's classic hit. Home Free are just so special and very talented. They hit me in such a different way than other bands and I love Everything about them. No matter what music genre they perform in it's Incredible! May I please suggest a few for you to check out? "Helplessly Hoping" "Can't Stop The Feeling" cover of Justin Timberlake "Brother's In Arm's " cover of Dire Straits "End of The Road" "Listen To The Music " cover of The Doobie Brother's. "Don't Laugh at Me" feat Mark Wills "What's Left of My Heart" original written by Tim Foust the bass singer. Take care and sending love from South Georgia, USA ♥️😀🍟

Yep, that’s what we often say. Home Free makes songs better. They worked a long time to get the arrangement right for this iconic song. It’s one of my favorites of theirs. They are all so talented. If you want to hear some bass, try Brothers in Arms, I Can’t Outrun You to hear the baritone and bass sing. 😍

John Denver's version of this song was pretty great to begin with, but then Home Free did what they always do and put their own magical interpretation on it and elevate it to fabulous. There's just something special about the talent of these guys. When they perform, you don't just hear the beauty of their talents, you feel the passion and love for the music they bring and the joy they obviously have for what they do. You get drawn into their world. Once I discovered Home Free, it's like an addiction. I don't just want to hear them perform, I need to hear their music. In my opinion, part of the key to what makes them so great is that there are no egos amongst them. The person or persons who are going to create the best music are the one(s) to be front and center for whatever individual song. They let the music dictate to them, not try to dictate to the music. Thanks for another great reaction.

A cover again so wonderfully good. I also liked John Denver's, but this version of Home Free surpasses the original. Yet they do maintain the respect for the song. Rob with his beautiful lead combined with the others is great again. Adam who has swallowed another drum kit😉 finishes it off completely. In one word phenomenal👏❤

I always think that John Denver's version sounded more like a man tired of traveling. Whereas Home Free's version sounds like people that are homesick. A subtle but profound difference. I love Home Free's take on this classic.

Tyler - I'm really enjoying your journey down this "Country Road" rabbit hole with these incredible guys. You've just scratched the surface of their obscene talent. Their covers are usually "upgrades" IMHO, of some awesome originals...also they have unbelievable original songs that you have to see and hear and experience. Their "Dive Bar Saints" album is mostly original (Country Roads is one off this project) - They make everything they touch their own it seems...I've been following them for around 3 years give or take and I'm simply amazed at their ability to blend - Also Tim and Austin are prolific song writers on their own and have come out with some amazing songs.... I do like your channel and decided to be a new sub and look forward to you peeling back the onion skin of this super group and their journey. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Cheers my friend across the "Pond"! RichieC (Atl Ga - USA)

These guys have no egos in the band....they usually all cut a demo on the lead of a song and then collectively decide who should sing the lead...no too many disagreements as most of the time it's pretty clear who should get it...and they're almost always right. Have you checked out any of their originals yet?? DIVE BAR SAINTS, Whats left of my heart (written by Tim), Snow Globe (also written by Tim) Warmest Winter (written by Austin) and Lonely Girls World (also written by Austin) are just a few of them.

I know that song is also a classic in the UK as they sing this at 6 Nation's Rugby matches with England playing...not sure if they sing this at England football/soccer matches too? Anyways...best version of this I've ever heard. They sat on this arrangement for over 5 years until they sang it for the 2019 DIVE BAR SAINTS album. Only 2 covers on that album this and the Vince Gill song "Go Rest high on that mountain". The song is usually sung "country-pop" style, but Home Free's arrangement is "country-blues" style...and it works because Home Free is the best. Have you reacted to their cover of "The Driver" yet? Their harmonies are on full display in that one.
