Excellent idea! I was in a farm supply store today trying to figure out how to build a good weed wiper. I think this video gave me the missing solutions! I did notice you never uploaded a video of your results!

Great idea using the soaker hose. I hinged the device to two pieces of roof batten and clamped it to the back of my quad so as it could ride up over the bushy stuff and set it 6 inches above the ground. Cleared approx an acre of of reeds with no spillage. I had everything except the rollers, cost me 7 quid and an hour or two in time. Brilliant thanks

Nice rig, but why does everyone mount them on the front ? Looks like that will spread chemical with tires to the low growing stuff you dont want to kill. I would rear mount it, and avoid driving over what has been wicked.

I wrapped a 3600x100x50mm in really thick shag pile carpet and mounted a 13mm copper pipe drilled with a 1mm drill at 100mm spacings. I then attached this to my 700ltr 3pl spray tank. I can adjust the height with the 3pl on my tractor and the flow with my tank control. I’ve used it for the last 15 years with no problems. I like your idea of the seeping hose, good work. How did it go?

Nice one - I'm thinking of scaling it up for a tractor. Where's the promised follow up field test video?

Great Idea but I think I would just run the flow wide open because your going to be going kind of fast with the machine, and just cut your rate to 1/4 of what you use. The wetter the better. These things are really designed to go between rows of vegetables and a defoliant used, not a weed killer like roundup that will actually kill the plant if it makes contact.

Hi mate. Im planning on this myself though only thing im worrying about are plant/weed fibres and debris saturating the rollers making them only a 1 time use. Do you find any issues with fibres catching on at all? Also i cant seem to find Sweating hose here in australia. Is there a formal term for those hoses? Much appreciated

Charles Brockman it is so good I’ve built an 8ft one - video to follow. It works real nice on rushes. Don’t forget their best if you mow them 6 weeks before so you don’t waste chemical on dead stems
