Of the countless Clamptite knock-offs on KZitem, I think yours is the best one out there. I have all of the components on hand and will build one like yours tomorrow, with one slight difference; I will have a handle rather than a nut & wrench. I had previously said I thought the tip was too wide. After watching tons of videos I now think it only is slightly too wide.

Thank you for the comment. It is much appreciated. I agree that it might be a little wide. But after some fair use, it hasn't failed yet. And in essence grips the hose in two different recesses of a barbed adapter. Let us know how the build went. (PS. A handle is a great idea in place of the nut!)

I really enjoyed watching the build of a quality tool. I've watched many videos on different variations of this tool. Based on the quality of the material used, and the level of craftsmanship employed, the majority of these tools are not destined to provide long service lives. I'm confident that is not the case with the tool you created in this video. Your choice of materials, your design, and especially your level of craftsmanship, are all of a standard that is considerably above the standards to which the majority of these tools achieve. You have produced a "Legacy Grade" tool. The qualities of this tool insure that it continue to function for years to come. I predict that your tool will be passed down through many generations of your descendants. I applaud your efforts. Thank you for sharing them with us, and demonstrating what can be achieved.

For the tightening nut you can solder a tube that will fit over the bolt and add a T handle!

I thought about it, but I am scared it would hameper the use in confined spaces.

Very nice. The only thing that I would have done differently is that I would've used a roll pin instead of welding that other pin in. Thanks for sharing this.

Good job! Which size welding rod did you use in this project?

Thank you for the comment. If I remember correctly it was a 3/32" 6013 rod.
