Honestly, I never comment on videos like this...... but this is the best/easiest recipe! At first as I was watching I was like “oh no this looks like a disaster”... beating the egg with the dough hook.... the uneven bun sizes..... but I totally underestimated her.... this lady knows what she’s doing!!! After serving a bun to my boyfriend he replied “you should write this recipe down”... enough said. This is forever my go to recipe!! Thank you, bread queen!

So many different recipes out there to make bread. And most of us don't even think about how we have most of the ingredients in our cupboard & refrig to make our own. Once you start making your own bread you never go back to store bought. I like to use the Amish bread recipe to make my loafs and buns.

Hi, Noreen-I just want to thank you for sharing your recipes and knowledge. I started "homesteading" a few months ago and just started bread making and was terrified! I am no longer buying my breads from the store and exclusively use all your recipes. They are all safe in my homesteading binder for me to pass down to my girls. Ibam making the hamburger buns today and just checked your video to make sure I was on the right track. My husband made a comment, "wouldn't it be easier to just buy buns?" I said, "NO! Like Noreen says, "I know what is in them and do not have to spend gas money to go get them." We live in Amish country so it is a little ways to go get anything. Since I am a full-time homemaker, I make the time now to do everything from scratch. Love you and your channel. It has changed my life. Merry Christmas!

I made these and added the sesame seeds after I brushed butter on the buns and when they had cooled every time you touched the bun the seeds fell right off so I would recommend using the egg wash (I use one egg with 1 tb of milk) if you want to add sesame seeds to Noreen's hamburger buns. Love the recipe and Noreen's videos!

All I can say is WOW! What a bun/dinner roll recipe. I have made many dough recipes and I have a couple of favorites (for buns and dinner rolls, but...FROM NOW ON THIS IS MY GO TOO! These are so very moist and soft. I made these for the first time and took them to a family reunion and they loved them, just as I did. Today I made two balls of this dough and froze one for tomorrow when I will thaw and let rise to make cinnamon rolls. I forgot to mention that I used milk vs water (as I always do in any bread recipe except my no knead)Yes, anytime I want to make anything that requires bread dough THIS IS IT!!!!! I just cannot say enough about how happy I am with this wonderful recipe. Thank you, Noreen, for sharing because I no longer need to look any further :) :) :)

Don't normally comment on these things but your recipe and method is just great. The crust and crumb are excellent if one follows directions. I extended the 2nd rise to about 2 hours and they came out fine. used 2.5 oz per and the size was perfect. Made some into hot dog rolls and they were great as well. Highly recommend this recipe.

Yes, it will make the difference between success and failure. Allowing the dough to rise too long the second time could cause the dough to over inflate and may cause the dough to completely collapse when placed in the oven. Only allow your buns to rise the second time between 30 and 45 minutes for best results.

My daughter, who is 9, loves them also, and decided she wanted to make them for the county fair. She entered them, giving the credit to you for the recipe, and ended up with a purple ribbon. We were all thrilled. Thank you for this recipe. I like knowing what my family is eating and it is way more tasty than those store bought ones!

You could freeze them and form them after the first rise and then put them in the freezer well wrapped. Thaw and allow to rise then bake. Alternatively you could just bake them all off and freeze what you didn't use and thaw when you needed them. If they are well wrapped, they will be fine in the freezer up to 6 months.

Going to try this recipe right now! So funny about only getting 11 rolls. I am seriously impaired about judging size doing the cut-in-half-and-in-half-and-in-half method. I always end up with as much as an inch difference by the time they're baked. So, if I want my rolls to be the same size (which mostly I don't care, lol) I weigh the dough first, then divide that weight by how many rolls I need to make, to know how much each roll should weigh. Thanks for the vid. Your directions are always so clear and easy to follow.
