Zach with what you were working with you did really well. You're my kind of maker! One suggestion.... spend some time learning about G-Coide, it's much easier to grasp then you might think. And with a couple nights of studying you will be able to troubleshoot things at the G-Code level and that will help ALOT. In fact for the time you spent you could have wrote the G-code by HAND! yes I said write the G-code by hand. It's really not that hard, that's how we did it before CAM.

Zach in your program see if you can find something that will link all the line segments together. It looks like the plasma cutter is cutting all of the individual lines as they were drawn in the cad program. There should be something that will link or group all of those individual lines into one continuous line. Right now it looks like it is cutting a straight line. Then an arc. Then back to a straight line ect. Good luck.

Can you sense "Hammering" of the pump with LoRa? I think it's possible. The wire-rope cable on the head of the pump can sense vibrations from the pump rod with accelerometer sensors. Those sensor cables mounted on the pump head cables with epoxy, can send their signals to a Sensor receiver node. Arduinos as cheap as $5.00 can process these signals and send a "Go" (meaning no problem" or "No-go) meaning their is a problem signal to the LoRa transmitter to your personal Gateway. The sensitivity can be adjusted to what is "Normal" at each pumping station/sensor node. If more than "x" number of "No-Go" vibrations are detected by the accelerometer in "y" amount of time, the microcontroller sends a warning via LoRa to the gateway and to your computer. You can also put magnets on the rotating parts of your pumps. One on the motor shaft and one on the pump moving-articulating parts. Place a hall-effect (magnetic) sensor (costs about $1) next to the path of the moving magnet. If the motor magnet can be sensed as moving, but your pump rotating magnet is not pulsing, then the belt is broken. Or something is wrong, at least. This is sent as a small digital signal to your PC or phone via LoRa.

I hate software too. You can make the plasma cutter stay on for longer by adding a resistor and capacitor to the input of your transistor to filter out small blips.

The one thing that everyone who repairs, upgrades, and builds their CNC plasma cutters completely agrees on is that using shielded cables is very important to prevent random crashes of the controllers and/or computers. Yet that relatively cheap thing designed for laser that I don't think uses any shielded cables worked *and survived* 🤷♂

With magnets mounted on your separator valve arms, you can monitor when the water level exceeds a certain set level. Again, a $1 hall effect transistor can sense this and let you know the water level in the separator is too high. Same for pressure. A bellows is often used to translate pressure in a dial to a rotational movement. A magnet and a hall-effect transistor can sense when a pressure is too high, those there are also digital sensors costing less that $20 can do this, as well as negative pressures (vacume). All of this can be monitored at each pump well for less than about $100 per site including the LoRa equipment I think. And since you own the LoRa Gateway, you CAN make it public with the TTN network, but you don't have to. You can keep it private. Just have repeaters from the far away locations (for less that $100) to bring the signal to your local LoRa gateway. Remember, these can each reach many kilometers in distance, especially in the flatlands of Texas. This can make maintenance of your oil wells more efficient. You know IMMEDIATELY which ones have a problem and can fix them right away. While others that are working, do not take away from your time. Just check into it. By the way. I am an ex-Navy Electronics technician. I am also trained on Diesel engines by the Air-Force in Withita Falls TX AFB back in 1977. I am retiring in March. Can you use my services? I am 63 years old. I know how to wrench on engines. Just a thought.

Also, I have several cameras and wireless microphones. I wanted to start my own KZitem channel. I have a Co2 laser and some woodworking shop equipment. And a few Resin and filament 3D printers and I am OK in using Fusion 360 for CAD. I also have a good Cellphone gimbal for recording. I use DaVinci Resolve for editing videos. I can help your channel. Again, I am going on Social Security in March of 2024. My Wife and I can move anywhere and I remember that rental properties in Sugarland, TX area was very inexspensive back in 1986. Again, just a thought.

I'll do you one better than that, I've got a you tube link stored to a video that shows how to make your own plasma cutter. Haven't watched it yet, but I need something like this on the very cheap end. Metal itself comes at a premium around here so wasting it just isn't an option. I've got crap I can practice on, but I'll need some new stuff for the final project. I also got to roll up air and water hoses before it all gets trapped under the snow. Lessons from last winter...

Looks like in the original drawing the segments were not merged. the post processor has to see each cut as a continuous shape instead of several different segments. sometimes you can see the gaps if you zoom in as far as possible on the drawing software. if you go back to that and merge all segments together as a continuous shape the starting and stopping will go away. I was surprised that the table was able to handle the weight and drag of the torch and lead. good luck with it, seems like it should work pretty good once you have some more seat time on it.

Hello. I am a new subscriber to you channel. LIGHTBURN is an AWESOME value for the money. Stick with it. The single person (or small team) developing the software is awesome. But just as you would not be successful using a hammer by itself to remove a nut from a bolt, this is LASER control software. Your problem with adapting it to control a plasma cutter is very close to the mark. I have asked Lightburn to try and use their software to control a laser light show like in a disco. They are not interrested. HOWEVER, as a plasma cutter is very close to what a laser cutter does, I am certain if you asked them, they might be willing to add functionality to their software and adapt it to control plasma cutters like you have made. They are very receptive to questions about this. Using laser X-Y mechanical platforms like your ORTUR setup, and adapting them to plasma cutting is very popular now. I think, to increase their customer base as a new PLASMA CUTTING software, might be in their interest. If you haven't done so already, reach out to them. They have their own KZitem channel. By the way, I enjoy your channel. Take care!

i'm JS you can get the 100cm 2020 and a new belt for ~$60 to upgrade the size, Ngl, nie to know those servos could handle the extra weight. Making a little boom/riser to hold the cable might help if you can set it up so it doesnt kink/snag/droop. Anyway, great mod to the laser cutter!
