Watching this video as the second one, ah so you have the same idea to build it closer to the mower also, that was my first idea, but I think this variant or having the tank inside the trailer as in your other video will be an easy first project for me as I don't have a generator on my tractor, I would also need an extra 12V battery and keeping that inside the trailer together with the tank, I think that's a winner. Awesome video and again Thank you for the idea! ❤

I put a toggle switch on my mower which makes it much easier to deal with. Plus I put a plug at the hitch, so I can plug, and unplug my sprayer. My son liked it sooo much that he did his that way also instead of having the battery clamps, and switch to hold in your hand. And if I ever need to power something else, I have that 2 prong plug at the hitch.

I am building my own sprayer cart. I bought a 20 gallon plastic druim for $25, I bought a 12 volt diaphram pump for $15 on Amazon. I put a 4" port in the tamk for filling it. Got on amazon also. I had two wheels off of a bicycle, and made a frame for the tank out of some 2 x 4 and some 1 x 6 wood. i had some hose, elbows, and fittings and a brass 1/2 pattern lawn sprayer nozzle. pump puts ot 1 gallon per minute and I am getting about an 8 ft sprey pattern . I adjusted the throttle and with my Craftsman LT1000 in 3rd gear, I travel 125 ft in a minute. This will result in a one gallon per 1000 sq ft. output which makes it easy to determine how much fertilizer I need to mix up to cover my 9000 sq ft yard. so I have about $55 invested in making this sprayer cart Here is link to my video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lmiAmoyoin9-dpgsi=ksmuaanlpSOhxDVB

Just what I was looking for. I do have a 14 gal wand sprayer that I was wondering how to convert it to a boom sprayer on my ATV to kill weeds on my deer food plot. This will do the trick! I love DIYers. Thanks for sharing. Ham Lake, MN.

@@WestWorld24 My tank sprayer has 3/8" hose. Is there a reason why you swapped to the 1/2" hose? Probably because the nozzle is a 1/2" fitting. I do have a clear 1/2" hose sitting around. I was planning on threading the nozzle thru a piece of angle holed angle iron I also have so I can attach to the rack on my ATV. I also watched your 2.0 video and the 1/4 or 90 degree head was a good choice. A lot of other DIY videos have an elaborate set up but for twice a year this is what I was looking for. Thanks again!!!
@WestWorld24

@@capttaylor03 you are correct, I used a 1/2-in hose because that is the size of the fittings. There are many different ways to build one of these, I'm like you, I wanted to keep it simple and cheap for no more than what I use it. Thanks for watching, I'm glad I could help!

@@WestWorld24 I ended up buying a $0.87 head sprayer and a $0.43 elbow and attached it to my 3/8" hose ($1.30). I attached the head sprayer to a piece of lumber that fits under the bungy chords that hold the sprayer to the ATV. I did buy an extra set and a T in case I want a wider swath like yours. My sprayer had a 13' hose so I can easily cut what I need. Thanks again for the great idea!!!

The sprayer and tank I have only engages the pump when the wand is sprayed. What did you do to bypass this?
@WestWorld24
3 жыл бұрын
The pump engagement is regulated by the pressure. Once the line pressure reaches the maximum setting the pump will shut off. When you remove the wand from the system the pump will operate continuously as long as it's turned on. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching!
@codyleger1750

@@WestWorld24 yep makes sense thanks for the explanation. so if I wanted to keep the wand I could put a valve in the line to switch to the boom sprayer when needed
