the curd in the strainer is good for cheese..farmers cheese? just set the strainer in some ice water after the whey is poured off.

Actually, I don’t think that it is safe to home can dairy items, due to fats and density. I realize people do it, but it isn’t tested safe. If you want it for storage, you’re better of buying canned.

@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest ~Invest in the Precise Digital Canner it’s the next best thing to sliced bread..lol..I have many canners and had this digital canner been available first I would have never bought the other canners. You can’t mess anything up and best thing is you don’t have to babysit it..I love it!

I’ve never frozen it, so I checked google. It looks like you can freeze it, but it needs a little room to expand. It also may not freeze solid because of the high sugar content. Now we both know lol😁😁😁

Just give me that condensed milk and a pot of coffee. Yum. These are great to have, I like using evaporated milk for my cream pies and mashed potatoes. You're a great teacher ma'am. A speaker once said to speak or preach like your audience is Jr high students. LOL. Well, here I am. 😂

It's not a good idea to use such a large burner for that size pot. It wastes energy and it's not safe.

But yes, it wastes energy, and don't your hands get hot when you are working with something small on that large burner? You can do as you like, obviously, but manufacturers recommend using a burner that fits your pot.
