I do it the same way with one exception. I peel half the tangerines while drinking the remaining Everclear, pass out on the kitchen floor and than peel the remaining ones the next morning.

I've made Limoncello myself multiple times, it's totally worth it. The Limoncello you get from the stores tastes vile but the Limoncello you make yourself is so smooth and fresh.

This looks delicious. I never thought to use citrus, but for years I've been doing the same thing with various berries that grow around my property. The plus side to using berries is you get a wonderful alcoholic compote which can be spooned over waffles, pancakes, ices cream. 🤪

Those Honeybell oranges look great. They are only in season for a short time of the year, even down here in Florida. Now I can make my own orange liquor. Yum Yum!

Thank you, I cannot buy Everclear where I live, but my sister can bring it to me from across the border. I want to try this with Everclear because that is from what I understand 100 proof and 95% alcohol. With adding the simple syrup mixture to regular vodka at 40% alcohol it would definitely be very diluted so I’ll have to wait to make this. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait. Thank you for sharing 😊

If you're in Canada you might be able to find high proof European alcohols; you can buy Spirytus here for instance :)

I use the Everclear too. Way better than vodka. I like to put in sealable bottle & freeze the bottle. Love this guy. Goodbye Charlie, lol.

It doesn't need to be that high. Luxardo is ~60 proof (half that) and will be just as good (if you can call it that) as it was when you bought it once you finish the bottle in 5-10 yrs
