That was an entertaining video. You're a funny guy indeed. Loved the modesty and dry humor. With a $10 duck head on the end of that bar and a $10 rim clamp on the wheel rim you would be as good as anyone else here and far better than most. Carry on.

I would have made the shoe project further toward the root of the bead of the tyre....the wall is a bit thin where you have it pressing.....but I love it....made mine mane years ago.....not as neat as yours....but works fine. And the tyre remover is great on your trailer hitch.....over here in the UK we dont have that sort of hitch....be so useful....I have to use 3 ft levers on my tryes as I have nowhere to anchor the rig like you do. Done all my own tyre work since I was 17....now 71.

Thanks for the video! It gives me some good ideas after struggling with a tire change yesterday. I'm thinking about making a similar bead-breaker, but mounting it right to the shop wall (keeping it stable and eliminating the need for the base). As for putting tires back on: Just a thought, but for mounting, would it be beneficial to have a second bar that could somehow be locked into place? It might help keep the bead down at your starting point and stop the tire from just spinning as you go around the rim. Just curious if you'd have any thoughts on that?

Your demo tyre already had its bead broken, good effort though. The handle won't be strong enough over time

I did try my best to stay on the up wind side. Definitely not my favorite material to use but it is what I had available at the time (and it was free too).

@@rywhiskey Yup, free is good:) Forgot to turn on my 20" fan the other day with a novice ac stick effort and found myself coughing some. Swapped it and some cash for an ac/dc Miller unit I haven't tried out yet. My Harbor Fright 90amp ac flux core wire feed is pulsing. Capacitor or two is out I'm thinking but haven't checked it out. Time for DC there too I'm thinking. May try a conversion but HF offered me 100 bucks trade-in if I bought the "warrantee" with some retroactive slight of hand for 30 or so. $210 DC machine for 140 all together might not be bad. Mine's ten or more years old anyway. Depends on how well I like my antique Miller stick that'll go down to 20 amps. Like the simplicity of your bumper mount effort. I tied my HF to the receiver but ended up putting plywood under it anyway. May do yours as well;) Be safe.

Wouldn't it be better to just buy one for $70 instead if trying to build one. 😆

If I could have found one for $70 I probably would have bought one instead but my princess auto only had the $150 one in stock. I was also able to build this one faster than It would have taken to go pick one up and I enjoy building things so it was a win win situation
