on a wing and a prayer is a WWII era song that found its way into the hands and heart of Joseph Spence from the Bahamas. Spence was recorded in the 50s and those recordings found their way into the hands and hearts of people like Ry Cooder. All good things are connected.

For folks who don’t know the Joseph Spence version, check it out. He has one of the craziest and compelling rhythm senses you ever heard. It’s like someone with two left feet who can, nonetheless, get down like J Lo when she was a flygirl on Living Color. Which is to say, it makes no sense at all and is awesome.

The resonator is a great example of how all guitars voicings have a place. I have always prioritized neck feel, balance, setup and my attack. I'm in the minority, but I find a ton of utility in carbon acoustics for this reason. Don't get me wrong, I love an old Martin like the rest, but for me, I need a dependable road worthy guitar first.

I have a very important question for any Homeskooler: Do the t-shirts run a bit big, or tight? I am right smack in between L and XL depending on the brand. I could always order 2 sizes I guess, but I would appreciate a quick answer on this before ordering. Wife says if I shed some of myself I would probably have no problem fitting the L, but I'm feelin' the XL a little more. Thnx.
