I have been using my kitchen aid to make butter for years. Recently I watched a video where someone used the dough hook to remove the buttermilk. Talk about a game changer! I just add the drained butter back to the bowl, add cold water and watch the magic happen! Amazing!

I think if you freeze the eggs, as in ice cream, it kills any bad stuff? Perhaps? I have hens & get fresh eggs daily so I use eggs a lot! I’ve never gotten sick from them in raw cookie dough or in the handling from nest to kitchen to table. You can keep unwashed fresh eggs on the countertop for quite awhile but I do use them up quickly enough. Otherwise you can freeze eggs by mixing a dozen up & pour into ice cube trays, freeze, then use 1 cube as 1 whole egg in recipes. Anyway, I’m sure there’s a lot on the internet for that.

I used to make the most AMAZING eggnog with raw eggs. Then the scare came out that raw eggs were bad. Now we have our own chickens. They are in a large pen but they dont run outside the pen, so im still on the fence. Need to learn more about the issues with raw eggs because i hate just blindly following "the rules." 😐

My Dad grew up on a farm in Missouri during the depression. The ice cream recipe I use has 5-6 whole raw eggs in it. My recipe is similar to yours except we use Eagle brand milk and a little less sugar. Our favorite is homemade banana ice cream. I like your ice cream maker because you don’t have to freeze the bowl like I have to on my new one. I hate it. Thanks for sharing your recipes and how-to knowledge with us!! I cook with my grandsons when they come over so they can learn too.

This ice-cream is what dreams are made of💕😊 I wish I had room for an ice cream machine. I love homemade ice cream, in store bought ice cream I can taste all the additives they put in it. There is only one brand I know of that doesn’t use additives. It’s expensive, but if it goes on sale I usually buy a little pint of it. ❤

I'm an angel food cake snob! Nothing compares to homemade. You'll need the whites only of 12 eggs, 2 cups of sugar, vanilla or almond extract (almond is my favorite.) Some flour, and cream of tartar. Most of the ingredients most people have except cream of tartar. I really enjoy making Angel food cakes with a White Mountain Frosting. You'll have to make that. It's worth the time. It tastes like home made marshmallow fluff. Yummy! Some advice if you've never made an angel food cake: Only use a metal or glass pan that way you know there's isn't any oil in it. That would ruin the cake. Plus metal and glass hold cold better. Put bowl and whisks in refrigerator or freezer before wisking eggs. When separating egg whites, separate each egg above a bowl and then add to other egg whites. Any yolk in the whites can ruin the cake. As soon as stuff peaks form when whisking the egg whites - stop. You can beat too long and your cake will be no more. I know it sounds like a lot, but it really isn't. After making it home made, you'll see why I'm an angel food cake snob and won't eat store bought - nothing compares!
