You can not end ignorant people but we can ignore negativity, do our thing and let others do what they are going to do. It's unfortunate and very hurtful and I wish people would consider other feelings and learn how to just keep their mouth closed but that's when you got to know when to keep your distance, you can love not up close! Feel me

I agree with that nurturing the hardness of the Black Male in the Black Community. You are so right. I went through the same thing. Even in my adulthood I'm still having past stuff thrown up, but however, I didn't let it shape me and what's so funny, the same people that they look up to are LGBT. Its funny to me at how ignorant my people can be.

i absolutely love tatum he's so adorable and he has such a beautiful personality. Newnue i dont understand why your grandma tellin you to wrap it up bothers you. if anything you should be glad you have people to remind you not to do anything stupid. Grown or not we all make mistakes and its plenty of people out there that wished they had just that one reminder to stop them. It doesnt matter if you're gay, bi, or straight, anytime someone tells you to protect yourself...Be Grateful!

Tatum gives me life. Love it. Your mom is coming from a good place in my opinion. Lil Scrappy is just ignorant. A lot of these rappers are ignorant as well as other Blacks on HIV/AIDS. Unprotected sex is the gateway to HIV/AIDS. I agree with Tatum. The DL lifestyle is why we as GLBT aren't accepted. Preach Tatum, What goes on in the dark does come to the light. That really didn't have anything to do with Frank Ocean. TATUM YOU ARE FIERCE!!!

Parents of heterosexual kids also tell their children to use protection. Everyone should use protection when they are sexual active. These are parents/grandparents and they are going to continue to parent. There would be less homophobia, a word I detest because i'm not afraid of gay people, if gay people were out more.

Lil Scrappy said some ignorant stuff and to be honest HIV/AIDS is really most common in the straight community, cause we're the majority of the world, not just U.S., we make up the majority of the whole world and I cant stand when other straights blame gays, Im straight and I tell other straight people we have to own up to our responsibilities and stop blamin others...I cant stand homophobes doesnt matter what race they are I cant stand them. I understood what Newnue said when he was referring to Tatum and the black community. The black community is not very accepting to flamboyant and overly feminine men. I don't think he meant it as a diss to Tatum.

Well there is being gay, but there is also the distinct culture, slang, and trends that tend to define mainstream gay culture/image (at least in the media). So, when someone says gay lifestyle they are probably referring to an individual who falls into generalized social definitions of what a gay person does or their proclivities/interests. Personally i dont find it an insult. I embrace it especially in a culture where we are trying to create a dialogue and reference point for "outsiders".
