How did you get the axle back in did you have to remove the control arm or anything? I am doing it now and I can’t get it high enough to fit back in. When I put it toward the area it won’t go so I assume the axle pop out but I can’t get it to move any help would be appreciated thanks
@MarcoCerqueira

I guess in my case the shaft didn’t come out all the way. So I was able to push it back in just by rotating the axle back and fourth until the splines lined up and the shaft went back in. If yours came completely out you might need to push the rubber boot back far enough for you to line it up visually.

Hi Marco, the hole in the top to tighten the top of the strut/adjust camber, How large of a diameter did you have to make it in order to be able to tighten and adjust the strut? Thank you. Dan

Hey Marco, What size Spacer are those and where did you get them from?
@MarcoCerqueira
4 жыл бұрын
These are 1.5” thick hub centric spacers for a Honda Del Sol. I got them on eBay. I did a quick search and only found 1 seller for 1.5” and they want crazy money. But there looks to be plenty of 1” spacers.

May I ask, after your install, what size are the tires, and also, why did you use the spacers.? I’m getting ready to do a 93 Suzuki Carry and having a hard time finding tires. Thanks for your time. Love the vids
@MarcoCerqueira

I’m running spacers because I’m using Honda del sol 15” steel wheels which have the incorrect wheel spacing. Without the spacers they hit the front struts, rears are okay. However, I like the wider stance so I would run spacer even if they weren’t required. Right now I’m using 185/60 15, but I have a 2” lift. I would suggest 50 profile tires or go down to 14} wheels. Good luck!

This lift was custom made by a local metal shop based off my specs. There a a few places that sell lifts for the Acty, like Rightdrive Parts. Good luck! rightdriveparts.com/honda-acty-lift-kit-ha3-ha4/

Got my 2" lift and new tires on, adjusted camber, etc and now the poor thing hops down the road like a Bunny Wabbit. Not like just when I hit a bump, it's consistently hopping starting at around 25 kph. New 300# springs on the way but it doesn't seam it will help as I didn't feel the hop on the lift, only once I put on the tires. Any ideas?

I would say that since you already ordered the springs, put them on to see if you see a difference. What tires did you install??

I’m working on my 96 Acty debating on 2” lift, I’m not doing heavy off-roading and I already need new cv joints. I want to avoid heavy modifications really but right now my cab will bottom out if I hit a dip to fast , I’ve ordered new springs but I can’t find new struts. Do you have any advice? Does it sound like bad struts? Ive got soft trail tires on it now 23x8x12 I’d rather put the money into mechanical maintenance (timing belt) before getting into anything not totally necessary.
@MarcoCerqueira

My understanding is that bottoming out is very common with these. One of the reasons are the soft springs. If you shocks look visibly good, no oil leaks, then just upgrade the springs. You can always do the struts later if they go bad.

I think I pulled the CV out when doing this as well. I think I got it back in but I’m not sure. How will I know if it’s not in correctly?
@MarcoCerqueira

Just push it back in. If no oil leaks when driving then you’re fine. If oil poured out you might need to top off the front differential oil.

@MarcoCerqueira

Well the car needs lower control arms and thrust arms because the bushings are done on those. So until I check that off the list hard to tell where the squeaks are coming from

Not sure if you are talking about the lift kit or the wheel spacers. The spacers I got on eBay, just search “4x100 wheels spacers Honda”. The lift kit was custom made but there are lift kits on eBay. Just search “Honda Acty lift kit HA4”.
