Such a sweet motorcycle. The sound of that engine when it revved past 9000 RPM on its way to the 10,500 RPM redline was music to the ears and as addictive as crack cocaine. And to think, a buyer could have one for under $1000 in 1976. Marvelous!

I rode my mates 400/4 back in 78 , the first four cylinder bike I rode , the first thing I noticed was how taught it felt with good handling , and that engine !!! What a peach. , hard to find now because owners are hanging on to them and I don't blame them .

Same make and model for me ..but in 1989. I crashed mine in October 1990. I quickly sold it vowing to never ride again. Well, life happens and 20 years later, I got another bike but I miss that Honda a lot.

The flat steering bar is the missing piece in this video... but otherwise it is good to see an old friend again. Honda should bring a new version of this classic bike... I myself own a Honda cb400 four 76 ( 75 in other markets), and it is a joy to ride. Unfortunately here in Brazil the Honda dealers do not accept to do a simple maintenance service in my bike. Even though every time I ride my bike on the streets I am showing the ultimate example of the best motorcycle brand in the world... and proving it.

A lot of dealers won’t work on older bikes. I think they worry about parts availability, plus younger people don’t know how.

Awesome video!!! I have a Red 75. Watching that rider I KNOW it was a mistake by Honda going to those tall bars and forward pegs. He would have been so much m ore comfortable (on the track at least) with the bars and pegs that came on the 75. Mine feels like a racebike everytime I get on it! But your yellow one is gorgeous none-the-less!

The 400/4 was the only Japanese Multi in 1975 that handled. It also looked the part, went well and was comfortable. It's a toss up for me whether the handling or the waterfall exhaust system stood out most.

My girlfriend in 1973 had a Kawasaki 350 triple, which was a way better plan than the Honda 350 four cylinder (and looked a lot better, too), but I do wish I'd gotten a Honda 400 when they came out with that model. It was exactly what I would have been looking for, if I'd been looking for another motorcycle at the time.
Awesome, I recently finished building the smaller scale 😆

What is the bike on the far right with the fairing? It kind of looks like a VF 500 or 750 Interceptor (early interceptors) which is not a CB it's a VF. Not that I"m complaining but isn't this supposed to be a CB series video?
