I'm a Honda guy. I have had Hondas since 1975 and they have never let me down. The engine and quality is amazing. Each of the 2009's are good bikes. Take a look at the magazine shoot out information for this year. Unless you will be racing your bike, the small difference in horsepower will not matter. The manufactures have had to lower horsepower slightly in some cases due to meeting emissions and noise levels. I would check out each bike at the dealer and sit to see which feels good.

I changed my oil at 400 miles and just today at 1300 miles. I completed three track days since June. I do not think a track day will void the warranty...Honda will never know and the bike was made for high speeds. Most call track days "motorcycle skill enhancement days" since they are not timed and no one is actually racing....especially, if you wreck....this is what you would tell your insurance agent. Yes, we are pushing the bikes. My goal for next summer will be 170mph.

I just installed a power commander last month. I noticed the difference at Road America on May 4th with extra mid range power. My bike has a OEM stabilizer which works great. I'll be heading to RA in June.

Nice, I'm actually booking Road America Track Days soon. I have an 07' R6 with a Two Brothers Full Exhaust, Power Commander and K&N air filter. You have a stabilizer on your CBR?

Yes I had more....I am cautious going into turn one so I slow down a little early. Only liter bikes passed me and then I was on their tail in the corners. I considered getting a dedicated track bike...such as a 04-06 CBR, but I am sure I would not be happy since the 07 has soooo much power and is fun to ride. I'll just take it easy.

Did you have more? Man you are the MAN! What was the field like? Tell me tell me. Did you whip them R6's or Gxsr 600 if they were out there?

Just got back from Road America today. The weather did not cooperate....37F with some snow flurries. The track did not get warm which slowed my speed going into the long straightaway. Also, with less traction, I slowed before the turn sooner. Anyway, only hit 155 mph today (what would be the wind chill?) and saw that I was at a little over 13K RPMS and still had PLENTY to go. I'll have to wait until next year to see if I can hit 170mph and will add a "juice box" this winter.

I'll give it another try a week from tomorrow....I'll be at Road America again pending the cold weather. I'll check to see how close to the red line I'm at when going 160+. I believe you have a Power Commander. I had hoped to get the 2 brothers "juice box" on before going. Probably will not happen. I'm guessing 165 to 170 might be possible. I noticed when I turn the key to on, the readout goes to 170. The temperature may be in the 40's which will help the engine HP. I'll let you know.

Ok great. If you had to guess what do you think you could top out at? You have already passed what the testers say is the top speed. I have done it also. I wanna see what the top is but I don't have an area to try it. I'm almost sure the 04 to 06 Cbr's are nothing like 07 & up.

The fourth bike at 0:08 sounds like an F1 car. Anybody know what it is?

Not really sure, It looked white, could have been a GSXR, R6, CBR, who knows. Sounds like my bike when I'm getting on it.
