What a super series of videos and great to see the transition from garden forgotten find to new lease of life. There was a time when these little bikes were as common as muck and not appreciated at all, yet they were absolutely superb commuters and had a reputation for being unbelievably tough and somewhat indestructible, even with little or no maintenance they ran year after year, only to be eventually killed by blocked centrifugal oil filters or loose camchains. Great job on the restoration :-) I've an N Reg A4 all original (less silencers) with only 13k miles sitting now for 10+ years waiting to be restored one day when i have the time. I really enjoyed this series. Excellent work.

Really enjoyed this resto I have been looking for 1 to restore myself you have made first class job would love to see it in the flesh and perhaps take for a spin if I am very lucky. My farther owned a red 1 and I remember many times with me on the I have picture of me sitting on it in my ankle basher I would polish that bike within a inch of its life it rarely hit the road dirty and I had a blue 1. So I am hoping to have 1 very soon maybe even 1 that is all done so I can just ride it and remember back in the day when I would sit on the back of dad's loaded with all the sailing gear on and ride from henly on Thames down to Sonning gravel pit for a race in our sailing boat thank you once again it great to see these little bikes still around can't wait to see your next project Nick and angela

This has been a very good series of videos Adrian and the result is something to be proud of. That little engine purrs like a sewing macine. What about another classic Honda? :) It's good to see you back on all cylinders again. Stay well matey.

Looking forward to a riding video and your thoughts on how it go's on the road . It seems to run like a Swiss watch but then honda really knew how to build these little four Stoke twins back in the day and of course it's a very low mileage engine .

I love the videos. I am attempting to strip down to frame, paint and rebuild my 1969 CD175. I am vey new to this and I have a question that I am sure is simple to everyone else, but it is confusing to me. How do I remove the center brace of the front mud fender? It looks like studs and not screws. Do I just push them through or pry them off?

I drilled mine out, centre punch the domes in the centre then use a 5 or 6mm drill you only need to drill the dome top down a few mm for it to release

The blue looks amazing, I’m currently restoring one in red, the breaks are strange with the two trailing shoes on the back, does anyone know where I could get a good reliable set that would definitely fit?
