Don't even attempt to turbocharged or remap any turbo cars with a hybrid drivetrain. It's gonna fuck up the car very nicely. JUST DON'T. :)

I remember Honda City used to have a better(or better looking) touchscreen, why do they replace it with a more lousy one? And I prefer fabric seats like those at the City compared to the doesn't-feel-right leather seats at the Ionic though. I watched your review on the Ionic, makes me so interested on that car right now, but heard that Hyundai's car have some quality issues and quite expensive maintenance is it true?

The electric air-cond compressor is smart, until sometime down the road it wears out and you will have to replace it. You will probably get a heart attack when you hear the cost.

More for downshifts than upshifts. I like paddle shifters because they allow me to downshift at my whim, i never bothered much about upshifts as they'll do it anyway even if you don't want to, except Subaru STI's amazing baller CVT.

The only gripe i have is the telescopic steering function on city/ jazz can't pull nearer to driver enough thus making the pedal too near to driver and not having a comfortable driver's position. Bad for tall or longer leg person.

you should specifically warn there is no spare tyre thats why you got big trunk area. instead of saying "emergency kit" thats air compressor from what i read in internet. thats useless for blown or splitted tyre in the middle of nowhere.
@BobbyAngmalaysia
7 жыл бұрын
+shafri omar I highly support car makers ditching spare tyres and moving to run flats. First of all, it's a dead weiggt. Secondly, too many heroes watched US shows and change their tyres at the roadside act cool when all they could've done is just roll the car until a there's a shop or safe place to stop - the only thing damaging for doing that would be the rim.
@soajpg
7 жыл бұрын
right damaged rim and no single rim original sold anywhere, hence buy 1 set 3rd party rim, thats cheap right, no i'm joking, thats not cheap. i guess you havent experienced the nearest shop is 50km away you are on rush hour or emergency, and the speed dragging burst tyre is like what? 5-10kmh? thats 5-10 hours journey. you want faster then you'll play firework on the rim and possibly damaged suspension, mounting and bushings etc. dead weight adds value to traction, momentum during free running car on a highway, the cost risk is only what? few cents of fuel/battery charge wastage in a month? or several seconds of shorter brake pad lifespan. complete set of brake pad is what? RM60? compared to hours of wasted time and effort and heart pain and thousands RM of complete rim... no its not worth it, tossing out that dead weight in exchange to extra luggage compartment is not worth it. maybe that car suits you, your place and life/work style, but a no no for a bunch of us, so a warning is necessary, not everybody are like you. imho. having said that, this issue is not specific to the honda hybrid, its becoming trend in newer hybrid car, so watch out, the bunch of us. i will think twice about this issue when buying another car. hybrid is good and modern, but this...

Bobby,, which interior is the best quality materials between honda city and vw vento?
@BobbyAngmalaysia
7 жыл бұрын
When you touch everything around the dashboard, it may seem like the Honda. But the moment you start accelerating and go into the first corner, you know the Vento is another level in terms of sound insulation, solidity. It's a smaller car though, but for me, I can buy the Vento and go Ulu Yam, join car driving groups etc. Honda City isn't built for that purpose.

Bobby Ang how about the handling
@suwardijelani4374
7 жыл бұрын
Thanxx bobby!
@pauljaa4719
7 жыл бұрын
Handling goes to Vento too. I saw a post on LiveLifeDrive or something reviewing the Honda City pre-facelift. There's a part where Honda organised an emegency maneuver event to showcase the City's stability control. Against the VSA-equipped City, came 3 contenders Almera, Vios and Polo Sedan (Vento). None of the contenders have stability control module. City passed the test with no drama, evading the cones and the boxes. Almera smashed a lot of boxes. Vios smashed a bit and the Polo Sedan smashed no box nor cone. Some testers tried to smash the boxes with the Vento but to no avail. So yeah, like Bobby said, the Vento is on another level when it comes to ride and handling finesse.
