I totally agree,in the past 56 years of riding and more bikes that I can remember that will always be my favorite.

Lots of little quirks. Reset the floats twice and it still leaks out the overflow tubes if I don't shut the gas off. I've had Cl and CB 450's that did the same thing. I've had a CL 360 and a CB 360 that did the same thing too. I'm a Honda guy though and still have two of them. P.S. I've got a long story about setting the points and ignition timing on my 305 too but it'd take too long. The CLl77 is one of those bikes that a 13 year old in the mid 60's yearned after.

Spent my teenage years in Dallas in the 60s tearing up the streets on a 305 scrambler. Loved that bike and many of my friends had them. I ran hell out of that bike and never had an issue with it. What a great starter bike for a young man in the day. Would love to find a pristine restored one circa 65-67

I had loved that Honda Model from back then - it had a different look than the other models - btw: I know yo know what you are doing, but - my 750 had sat for over 30 years in my storage room. I was able to restore her during shelter in place and finally having a home with a garage in CT. Plugs were removed so no compression, then some 3 in 1 into the cylinders to soak. Then the gentle manual rotation - Now she has her own channel -

Hey Eric, I enjoyed the scrambler video. I just picked up a 66 CL77 from Van yesterday. Very complete. I'll be doing the same ritual soon. Funny your page popped up this morning. Looks like an original red frame with the tank, fenders and side covers repainted silver. Came with snuff or nots and the tool kit, I'll text you some pics after I get it out of the truck. I got it for my son Daniel who lives in Knoxville. Trying to get the next generation fired up :) I'll tell him about your page. Hope to see more 305's on your page.
