I would love an in depth look on how to make a chassis specific harness. Also how do you test the harness to make sure what goes where ??

Everything is pretty straight forward if you know the basic principles of wiring. If you have your entire harness mapped out wire by wire and access to google, you can easily build any harness you need. There's no test per say. If you know how to map wires, you should be able to figure out what wire is for what. Only tool that's required is a multimeter and you'd mostly just do a continuity test while mapping wires.

What exactly was wrong with the wiring. Was it pinned backwards?

For the alternator or the entire harness? The alternator was FR and Light pinned in wrong positions. I don't know how I wired it incorrectly since all my notes showed the correct pinout, but it happens. As for the entire harness, there were many wires incorrectly pinned, which I fixed a long while ago. I don't remember what was wrong anymore.
