Just ordered a new f220. My daddy bought two new 210 hondas before his death. They were awesome tillers. My oldest brother still has his last one which is now 27 years old.

I come back to this video every year when I rent this great little Honda machine! I love this unit! This yiayia approves. Very easy to handle and problem free as a rental so far and fits easily, neat and clean on the front seat of a Honda Civic 😁

Is it good at breaking up hard soil?

This tiller worked good for me. The unit even also pulled up some weeds however I did have to go over the area a couple of times though to remove most of the weeds.

I've had this about four months and have found it to be an aggressive and powerful rig. kzitem.infoUgkxjo0FLo5z3Y_qUcT3vSlOqpMaMdFjvsXa I've used several others in the past and the Sun Joe surpasses these, easily. I note that several people have commented that it bounces on rocky and compacted soil. I believe that would be the case with all tillers - the ground does need to be "broken", either with a larger tractor type unit or with a shovel, and rocks need to be removed. I'm living on a Pike silt loam here in the midwest and the Sun Joe turns my garden to bug dust in two quick passes. I use a technique where I do a short 2 foot run then pull it back and let it go over it again.

This thing will give you a work out, it seems that you need to pull it backwards so it will till deeper.

After a few months of storage the tiller is probably gunked up, petrol was drained and stored, they forgot to mention to let it idle until all the gasoline is spent. Have to service it to clean the carburator in the first year, why is there a no fuel filter installed in the first place? I will have to improvise and create my own filter system when I use gasoline again, poor design of the unit due to cost saving.
If you Google there is a maintenance video on it .Yes I am a Honda fan. I have a Honda rancher as well lots lots of miles

Thank you for posting this video. As a Home Depot renter with no experience with lawn equipment other than mowers, this was invaluable. Tip for users: ensure the area to be tilled has been thoroughly watered to depth beforehand such as when watering grass seeds.

I rented one from home depot, and followed all these directions. It was full of gas, and I kept trying to start it, but it wouldn't start.
