In this video I wanted to take a minute to give my advice on the Honda GL1800 Goldwing's most common starter issue. We find that this tends to happen more often on the earlier Gl1800 models "Pre 2008".
*KEEP IN MIND THIS GL1800 had 160,000 miles.
*Any solenoid you buy for the model is redesigned and works just fine.
Regardless, the starters on these bikes are buried under the gas tank and it is not the easiest of jobs to complete. If the situation were to happen on your Goldwing, I would advise you to replace the solenoids FIRST, before going in for the starter because they will need to be replaced anyways and it just might cure the issue before diving in after a potentially sound starter.
SO. ENJOY!
