I couldn't have your knowledge on installing things, but if I did, my house, my bike, and my cars would be hooked up like the Jetsons. Lol. Another great job Chris.

Carnell - not sure if you saw Chris' other vlog, but he's got lights up in the dash area too and got me thinking about glove box lights... flush-mount single jumbo LED does the trick! makes it SO much easier to see in the left glove box.

Hey Chris, have you figured out a way to light the gas tank lid? Tired of over filling my gas tank from not seeing the fuel level at night... just curious.

I put a 240v outlet in the trunk as well as the camera system and a 12v supply. Found 240v much more useful can plug my laptop in like that.

Never use crimp on wire terminals or t taps, they can and do fail over time... always solder your connections and use double wall heat shrink tubing for a fool proof never fail water tight connection. I used the original Honda Trunk Inner Light Harness and switch Part #: 08E75-MCA-300K. It's cheap enough then I used stick on led strips from amazon, their about $10.00 for a 10' roll, I got blue, you can get any colour you like, warm or cool white, blue, green, red, what ever colour you fancy and you can cut them to any length you like. I put one strip about 8-10" long in the trunk similar to what Chris did here but up on the upper edge on the plastic inner wall and one on the trunk lid near the top edge so when the lid is up it floods the inside of your trunk, I also put one in the top of each saddle bag about 14" long. It'll take some careful planing how to run the wires to the saddle bags, I used good quality silicone where I drilled through the plastic into the compartments to seal and secure the wire. With the original Honda trunk light switch the lights come on when you open your trunk lid like in your car. Before sticking the led strip to the plastic rub it good and clean with a clean paper towel and 99% alcohol you get from your local drugstore. I thought I had a one of a kind lighting system in my trunk but Chris had proven that theirs lots of garage engineers out there with a good imaginations. Keep up the good videos.

Hey just watched your trunk light video. When you say 12 volt power source, are you referring to the 12 volt power outlets? If so, what brand did you go with? Also, nice job on the lights. The trunk side panels are new for the current Gwings, but not on the earlier models. I wonder if those could be fitted to the older ones.

The power outlet in the rear is powered by 12 volts, the battery and electrical system is a 12 volt system, it's really it all the same.

The one in my vid is called a DC voltage circuit tester, but they do make a multimeter that would test DC and AV voltage. They sell them both at most hardware, and auto parts store.
