I thought what a beautiful green it was, until I realised it was the grass reflected in the chrome. Anyway, it’s a wonderful car and I just wish they sold them here.

I am trying to convince the Mrs that this is what we need as a second car, well, main car really. One of these as a daily driver with the kid seats in as all we do is go shops or take kids to nursery and it's all within a mile, then we already have a diesel estate which would be the going to work car or transfer the kid seats to that one for the big trips where we need to take a lot of stuff. Could I ask how much this went for? I have no idea if I'm looking at £5 or 15k, and that's a big part of the decision but I can't find any with real, recent uk prices as a guide. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the question. Please could you send me a message here andrewsjapanesecars.com/ask-me-a-question/ and let you know the selling price for this one. BTW I've got another N-Box coming later in the year andrewsjapanesecars.com/2012-honda-n-box/ Happy to discuss importing one directly for you if you prefer. Thanks Andrew

If I'm not mistaken KEI are almost exclusively sold domestically in Japan... and yet your imported Japanese car features buttons, controls and dials that are clearly labelled in English. How does that work for your average Japanese grandmother driving this car? :)

My impression is that the majority of Japanese people are quite accustomed to dealing with things written in English.

Great Video thank you. I love this car. I asked me how many N-Box u can find in Europe. I dont know anyone who have one. But i think in GB you can find more japanese vehicles because of the right steering wheel. I dont think we have a N-Box on german streets. What i missed in you review is the question is it possible to move the backseats to get mehr trunk space . you said the sound system is nice but i cant see tweeter.

Hello and thanks for your comment and questions. I'm glad you're a fan of the N-Box! I've never seen another one on the road in the UK but I know there are others here because of questions/comments I've received on my website. I don't know about numbers across Europe, but as you say the steering wheel being on the 'wrong' side for Europe probably wouldn't help. About the seats, the back of the rear seats has 2 positions, reclined and upright, but the rear seats cannot be slid forwards/backwards to adjust the trunk space. There weren't separate tweeters. It isn't a 'premium' sound system, but the sound quality was a lot better than I expected.

@@Andrewsjapanesecars hi and thanks for your answer. I just ordered 2017 nbox custom turbo from japan to gernany and looking forward to get it. Lot of people here have japanese sports cars and i know there are some owners of kei cars. But i never heard from a nbox owner in germany. May be iam the first one.
That must be frustrating, especially as you probably use more fuel with the 4WD too. I had a look at the specs for this model and I can see the 2WD has a 35 litre tank but the 4WD only has 30 litres.

Did u need to retrofit the speedometer for the dvla? I'm wondering if it is legal to drive it like this or does it require mph to be shown?

What's the comfort like with two adults in the front?
@Andrewsjapanesecars

Very good! Inside it feels like a much more spacious vehicle than it's exterior appearance and dimensions would suggest. The seats are really comfortable and there is plenty of space between each other with 2 adults in the front.

I wonder how easy it is to get spares in the UK, say a windscreen replacement.
@Andrewsjapanesecars

I offer support with spares for all the cars I sell. Some parts are available here and some need to be imported from Japan. I could import a windscreen if required. The shipping would be expensive but everything is available.
@zurielsss

Spare parts are readily available in Japan since it's very popular. But the importing costs will be expensive

Can i ask why you buy the JF1s range and not the later JF2s or JF3s?
@Andrewsjapanesecars
11 ай бұрын
The registration process is a little simpler for cars over 10 years old, but if you'd like a JF3 then I'd be happy to import one for you, please get in touch via this form if you'd like to discuss it further andrewsjapanesecars.com/japanese-import-cars-to-order/ BTW the JF2 is just a 4WD version of the JF1 - the 4WD would add a lot of (mostly) unnecessary weight.

I was thinking that i'd love one of these until you mentioned the 3 Satanic letters,CVT.I just couldn't put up with a car that permanently sounds like the clutch has had it.It's a shame.For the kind of mainly local and solo driving i do,one of these would have been perfect for the occasional shopping trips etc

Sorry to hear you're not a fan! Quite hard to avoid CVT in automatic Japanese import cars these days. Perhaps a manual transmission N Van would suit?
