Just entering my 18th month of owning my 2013 NC700X. Fortunately, the previous owner had taken the effort to amend more than a few of the shortcomings shown here (raised bars, suspension, windscreen, slip on exhaust, new seat, bark busters etc.) And answered a ton of sound advice. I have also added 20,000 plus more miles in that year and a half. I wake up every morning thinking about the Perfect Motorcycle parked out in front waiting for me...Thanks for sharing our shared Bliss.

Humour aside, you must remember that this bike is built to a budget - it is good value. The real faults are the LCD display, the skinny pegs and the fuel filler location (The tank position is good, but I'm sure the filler could be positioned so that one doesn't have to lift the pillion each time-which is a real pain). Good video - many thanks from Devon, England!

Couldn't believe it and am glad you were just having some fun. One year ago I was looking for a new bike and came across your reviews and mod tips. The honest commentary was a factor in my final decision. I picked up my bike last November and have just over 5,000 miles on it. All the luggage pieces, center stand, front fender extension, and the balance of tools to the factory kit (US models don't come with the wrenches to adjust the chain) were added. The center stand and tools should be standard equipment in my opinion. For my riding, I found it best to simply take the wind screen off. Looks a bit odd, but the buffeting is completely gone. Thank you for all your posts. Of the previous bikes I have owned, this one has been the best fit for me. It's a beautiful fall day here in Connecticut and time to go add some miles. Thanks again.

Following up on my ownership comments of two years ago......I purchased a 25mm lowering kit for the rear end which has made getting on / off much easier. The front end would not move a mm so had to be left. But this was a one gain two losses move. The headlight turned into a search light for aircraft and the main stand became impossible to use. The owner's handbook was useless for adjusting the headlight beam angle but KZitem was very informative. The second issue was not fixable and also made the side stand less than safe. Last month I fell over in car park after putting my foot down into a large pot hole. I then found the bike was too heavy to lift up on my own. I have just renewed both tyres at 11,500 miles of use from new. My Norton 961 chewed through two sets in the same time. The rear chain has been adjusted twice and may need changing soon.

My NC750X is 4 years old and came with heated grips and top box. I have found the bike to generally be a reliable workhorse for comuting and touring. In my opinion it is a good all-rounder with some faults which unless corrected would put me off buying another. The front forks are harsh and transmit every round bump through the handlebars. The display is ridiculus. Most of the digits are too small to read in both daylight or the dark. It is like a modern mobile phone in having loads of features that might be of use to some people but not all. It is menu driven by two buttons. If you hold one of these buttons down for too long everything useful gets zeroed or changed. The display was actually clearer and easier to adjust on the earlier NC700 model. I am 178cm (5' 10) tall and can only just touch the ground with both feet. I invaribly catch the passenger hump with my boot when getting on or off the bike. I can lower the back end a little but this will affect the sterring head angle. Unless Honda change the ride height I will not buy another.

Still there are good options for these faults: Heated grips they are optional at Honda NC750x you can have it, the seat you can buy a perfect confortable seat from Top Sellerie in France, windshield higher from Puig plus deflector, Top case and rack are also Honda Optionals. Power ... it does 0-100 Km in 4.4 seconds that's not so bad... Also the stock exhaust it's better than the scooter one 😁🤣 The Dunlop tyres are very good on the rain from my personal experience but they run fast at arround 12.000 Km in my case. I looked at this bike a month ago, seemed cheap build, decided wha I wanted was another BMW midsize, ordered a 2023 F750 GS, best display on the market, real cruise control, quick shift and Quality build....

Yes I have had mine for about 3 years now. Agree that the bike could have come out of factory a bit more aligned for adventure style riding. Better seat, larger fuel tank, fuel filler easier to access, better suspension front and rear. But for the money you outlay for a new bike you can add as you go. Keep the wheels turning. Cheers

All I've done is Puig windscreen with visor and Honda top case and centerstand. I make sure keep radiator clean. Nowadays I don't try to make it an all day bike with heated grips and cruise, I just stop more often and the seat is breaking me in over time. The main thing is the upright and alert riding position with core engaged, completely compatible the firm suspension and seat.

I've owned an NC750X for three years. Love it. Started watching this video and thought, oh well another whinger who doesn't understand motorbikes - well until the end of the video. Agree totally, minor issuers which need to be sorted but overall, a great all round bike which, despite it's average power, has good torque and a very respectable performance on the road.

The most boring dull machine I've ever owned. As a motorcycle courier I have done 30000 miles on my 2019 model and had done 46000 on my 2017 model before it was written off by an uninsured van driver. You know what though I love it.The only real modification I've done is raise the rear ride height by 20mm and fitted a centre stand.Does exactly what I bought it for.Rear wheel bearings and an ignition barrel that can't handle Scottish weather aside its a great machine.Love the videos by the way.Its nice to see grumpy guys like me on the other side of the world.Take care.

Have watched all your vids and liked them. The NCX is good all rounder but a little too big and cumbersome for me. I have four bikes and have just moved to the West Coast of Tassie. The roads around here are unbelievable. Motorcycle Paradise. So make an effort to come over here and ride the West Coast and Tarkine region. You won’t regret it. Safe travels.

Trevor Brew - thanks Trevor. We hit Tassie on Nov 3 and can’t wait. We have toured Tas a number of times over the years but never tire of riding in paradise. Love the Tarkine loop and plan to do it again starting from Zeehan and up thu Corina (weather permitting)

A friend of mine, (Ex - friend now) (A non motorcycle rider) said, "do you really need to put on ALL THAT GEAR before riding? I said, "When you drive your car, the shell of the car is your protection." When I ride my bike, this gear IS MY PROTECTION." I also stated that "you have to dress for the slide, NOT the ride!" He still didn't "get it". Still thinks I am over dressing just to ride. I guess the next statement is actually true: You can't fix stupid!

I loved the video Adrian, I'm surprised so many people didn't"get it", but then I think maybe English is quite a few people's 2nd, 3rd and 4th language and perhaps irony can be harder to spot (even if you did take your trousers off!). I think this is my favourite bike channel, far fewer knee dragging hoons and haters commenting. NC riders are a far more friendly bunch.

Similar quality to my old CBR500R. the swing arm was a box section and I had to get a new chain and sprocket at 24,000 but it was locking up at about 8,000. I just tried to keep it clean and lubed till it was so bad it was getting weak and risked it snapping. Had it for 5 years but sold it recently as I want to go exploring. First stop I'm planning is Longreach and then across to Alice.

Got me. almost switched off. Own the 700x and love it with 110k km. to raise the bike front fork 1 inch extensions added. Brakes changed the brake rubber pipes to the braided kind and much better. Back seat fuel , used back seat as template and constructed an aluminium one using the same connection bolts and seperating the part over the fuel. cap to be able to get to the fuel cap but still lock it as you would normally. Added skid plate was also a life saver at times.

Hi. I'm from Russia. I drive an old Honda transalp 650. He is 20 years old. And what I should say: "You eat too much." I mean, you have a really good bike that I can only dream of. And your 20+ small problems are not really problems. I'm sorry if I offended you. And I'm sorry about my English. Respect for your Moto journey! I like it too. Have a good trip, my friend!

Fault number 24........the rider is perfect in every way.......lol.........glad to see you have "adjusted the bike" to suit your needs sir. For what it's worth, I have never found a bike with a stock seat that was all day comfortable for me, apart from a Harley Softail Heritage that I once owned.........and I got rid of that bike because it didn't really suit my riding style......

Thanks mate. Of course I’m not serious about these “faults”. As you say, all bikes have things we don’t like and can not-pick about.

I like mine but I honestly think there's a lot they could of done to improve it without adding anything to the cost. Here's a few things to add to the list: * The low fuel warning is flashing grey on grey!!! why didn't they make the speedo go red or something more noticeable? * I find the display impossible to control - there's only 2 buttons but you need a phd to understand it. * The manual might of helped but the writing is so small I can't read it. * Having different size holes in the front disk would allow better fitting of various disk locks. * When I turn the bike off my keys seem to always get stuck on that tiny bar. * Also, why doesn't the wheel lock work at 100% turn rather than turning the bars all the way then backing off 10 degrees? * The rear grab handle is smooth meaning bungee straps just slide around. * The bike really needs a belt rather than a chain Agree with your points on: * Wind noise - anything above 70mph is deafening to me. * The seating position - I can only take 2 hours before giving in.

A lot of these faults are common to a lot of bikes hard seats screen too low mudguards too low etc. In UK every bike should have heated grips and hand guards from new. I like your sense of humour 😁
