Back in the day, I was blasting down a single lane trail in my 83' I had no business being on when a jacked up pickup truck came screaming around the corner! A quick size matchup and I yanked the wheel went off the trail and ended up rolling 5 or 6 times. To straighten the roll bar we ended up locking it to a telephone pole - ran a winch to the one across the street and winched it back straight. It made some awful sounds as we forced it straight!

The factory roll bars in my opinion is a joke.

Got one of these from the dessert and going to put predator 420 on it

I thought about doing that myself because it was a cheaper and more reliable option. If I could go back and redo it, I'd put a 420 on it. Only because I put way to much money in the 250.

What I never understood is why they decided to leave the rear rigid without a suspension. If I ever find a cheap one I'm going to try re-fabricating the rear frame at the base of the cage mounts and add hinging connectors and shocks.

Yeah, it was a dumb design considering the speed it goes. That's why it's hard to find one with a straight roll cage. 😆 If I had to do it over again, I'd pick a FL350 or a FL450. There's a guy in California who makes a rear suspension kit for the FL250. But.... by the time you dump money in a 250 like this and buy that kit, you could have bought a nice FL450.
