Thinking about getting one just like it. Do they have power steering, or need it?
@drabbag
3 жыл бұрын
They do not have power steering, and I don't think it's necessary to be honest. I felt like it was pretty easy to steer at all times! I'm really enjoying this 520 so far, I test drove a Pioneer 700 last year and glad I waited. My trails are a bit tight so the 50" width is great. It's also the cheapest of the lineup.

@@drabbag Thanks for the info. Today I ordered a 520, but it's a Kubota RTV. They each had good features and it was a tough call which to get. Enjoy yours, and thanks again.

@@jimcurns7049 His Honda will last another 40 years and your Kubota will last 10. In either case, gasoline atvs will be obsolete soon, so enjoy them while they're here.

@@dontump2286 why will they be obsolete? Are you inferring electric will replace them? Perhaps you're right for these type of applications( trail riding in northern hemisphere ), but not in the rest of the world, especially in agricultural applications I have a 520 on my dairy farm in New Zealand, its used everyday, for hours, in mud, hauling nitrogen fertilzer, calves in the tray, trailer in tow and with a winch on for logging. I just can't see electric being used in these tough applications. I've tested an electric motorbike on my farm at is just wasnt practical.

@@RancidToadTim doubtful it’ll be “soon” might be 20 years and who cares. Electric would be better anyway, would be great for people living off grid to not have to worry about fuel. Like anything people will eventually Learn how to fix it, similar to new engine tech, I don’t know anyone who can work on a steam engine anymore, maybe some old farmers who still have equipment that run it. But know plenty who are working on the newer stuff, it’ll be a generational thing

Tryed a new P520 at dealers, not too impressed. Terrible gear lash noise from transmission on light throttle, ok if pulling or foot off accelerator but running light hellish noise. Wondered if your machine was like that. Thanks.

I have a pioneer 500 with paddle shifters only. With a little seat time, you can learn to shift very smoothly.

It's not the gearchange that bothers me, it's the gear lash when running light throttle. My 420 with manual change is excellent, can't believe Honda would manufacture such poor engineering.
