Owned Honda's all my life, starting with a 1987 Prelude when I was 16 that I put ~150k miles on. Moved on to a green/tan 97 Prelude that I put ~200k on (with a JDM H22), moved on from that to a 2002 S2000 and put ANOTHER 150k on it (I like to drive ok lol), 40 YO now and drove from Vegas to Salt Lake to pick up a 2013 Accord Sport 6 speed that I have put 140k miles on...just so you know where I'm coming from...so far what little I've heard makes the 2026 Prelude sound boooooring, and I am literally your target audience, or at least I should be. Come on Honda, SH AWD, 9K redlines, VTEC, ARYTON SENNA....for the love of god DO NOT make this yet another 200hp Prelude or I will lose my sh*t, unless you can make it as fun as the S2000 was to drive, then maybe. The only reason I was hoping it would be all electric was that at least it might have killer acceleration, and wouldn't be the same thing we've always had. If I wanted another 200hp Prelude I could have bought one 30 YEARS AGO. Sorry for the rant. If Honda has any good people left hopefully they will come across this post before it is too late to save the Prelude. BTW, the rear end design is simply gorgeous, see I'm not all doom and gloom. 😉

Honda has a long history of discontinuing top-selling, well-reviewed, often iconic cars like the Integra, Legend, NSX, S2000, CRX, and of course the Prelude. In fact Acura was selling more Legends than BMW was selling all of its models (3 series, 5 series, 7 Series etc). It's almost as if Honda is uncomfortable being more than a purveyor of reliable family sedans and budget people movers.

Or, start saving now and wait a couple of years for the bugs to be sorted out. By that time you’ll have a decent down payment. Another “or”, start saving now and buy a cheaper car. It’s only a car and once the novelty has worn off it’s still only a car.

The starting cost for this is still an estimate since we don’t have actually pricing on this yet. And the 8% APR is average across all states and credit scores. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

54k through finance verses buying the base version outright for 34k or buying the spec’d out version for ~50k. I’m a broke college student and just got my first job but for damn sure will I be saving up for this car. Mostly in hopes to buy a fully loaded version outright. Because I loved the 5th gen prelude since the first time I saw it at college. And I feel the 2026 one is a successor in the looks department. Hopefully the fully loaded version isn’t above 50k. Might trade in my beater in case I need to make up cash

Wouldn’t it be, “ it seemed to be a very good selling car” instead of, “it seemed to be a very well selling car” ? Well just doesn’t sound right. Could any English majors help out here?
@rightwingsafetysquad9872
4 ай бұрын
TLDR, either is fine. The beautiful thing about English, especially outside of England, is that there is no formal authority over the language. If it sounds right and people know what you're talking about, it is right. That said, it is generally best to stick with either Webster (American) or Oxford (British) standards. 'Well' is an adverb, used to describe an action. 'Good' is an adjective, used to describe an object or impart moral judgement. The structure of this sentence is awkward. It could be interpreted as "well" describing "selling" (as a verb) and then "well selling" collectively describe "car". This would be correct by Webster style guides. Or "selling car" could be grouped together as an noun described as "well". In the latter case, 'good' would be preferable over 'well'. But the latter case would be a stretch to make linguistically, it just sounds better. Perhaps a better way is to restructure the sentence entirely. "The car seemed to sell well". Or "the car seemed to be a good seller".
