Your wife should do better. It’s only 12.5 HP. My bike seems to struggle getting faster. Shifting to 5th gear doesn’t really do much except lower the rpm. As someone who started on the Rebel 500, I went with a CB500X when they did the mid-model upgrade with better suspension/brakes because I liked the motor/power. I haven’t ridden an SCL500 but the Rebel is a little too low and close for me and my hips/back hurt after half an hour of riding it. I have spent a little time at the dealer sitting on it and the SCL500 just feels like a halfway point between the CB and the Rebel. The CB500X is definitely taller and for me much more comfortable, even on days I’ve spent several hours on it. Oddly, with the same motor on those two as well, the stock exhaust on both sound nearly the same. And at lights when my wife and I are riding side by side, they will fall into sync and sound like twins. So I feel like the aftermarket exhaust highlights those slight differences.

Never seen those SCL's until now, wouldn't know the difference as they look so similar lol. but I've been wanting a rebel for a long ass time and I still want one. Would prefer new but I can't even afford used which i'm willing to trade a Navi for any year lol ):

Hi Burch the seat that you have on your rebel 1100 is it more comfortable than the stock seat I really like the looks of your seat and would just like to know if it's more comfortable. Thanks

I haven't ridden a Rebel 300 or 250 on the road yet. I am curious on what the difference of handling and acceleration and gearing is.

I'm 6'2 and the Rebel 500 feels absurdly low to me. I think the Rebel only really makes sense for short riders, the CL is generally more versatile and a more "standard" bike.

Off topic question butttt.. I got an 1100 Manual a few weeks ago and the throttle seams to be insanely twitchy. Did you have that problem and how did you fix it? I've google it quite a bit and say your video on the power commander but did it fix it or just minimize it?

CL is better because when you need to custom you can change it to the Cafe style beautiful.
