You summed it up nicely, it's all about the ride, the freedom, getting out there in the fresh air taking in the sights and sounds and the friendship and camaraderie that goes with it. Many more years of riding to you sir.

Still looking at a 1992 st1100. 73k but well taken care of deciding if I should grab it. I’m in Wa St with all the rain but I ain’t dead yet so I want to ride. Enjoy your videos very much.

A bit old fashioned now but fantastic bikes if you don't mind the weight. Engine is a smooth as a baby's bottom.... If only they could stick that engine in a cruiser...!

Hi Gampy, For that bike it can handle that kind of millage. Go for it my friend. You need a Go-Pro to film it and show us your bike, riding and thoughts. Would love to see that. Norman.

Rode Harleys for over 40 years, and still own one. (1980 Shovel) Last year 2021, bought a pristine 2000 ST1100 with less than 30,000 miles, and I am totally in love with. Being a licensed Ontario mechanic I have ridden probably 1,000 different motorcycles models in my life and this one is so much fun, should have bought one a long time ago.

@@2001himax Have been admiring STs since 1990, but had never tried one. (always admired them) Don't like Gold Wings, don't like Honda sports bike. As you stated, I discovered them just last year and I know I will be keeping both till the age I can't ride no more. Bike is superior to a V-rod in many ways, ridden on a couple of them (V-rods)

Hi Jon, I have watched a lot of videos on You-Tube on this bike. Watch "Million Dollar Bogan" He just put up a video on the Harley Pan American. It's Harley' bike like the Honda 1100. Bogan rides the bike where it's not designed to go but worth watching. Thank you for watching. Norman.

Hi Allen, Thank you for watching. I put music with this video but needed it a little lower. When I edited it I had a headset on and it sounded good but when on You-Tube the music was louder. I will know the next time. The Honda is a great bike. Ride safe. Norman.

Norman, I don't like a GPS in the sight line of my cycle's instruments. You never know when you're going to need to see that temp gauge. If I can't put it somewhere out of the way, I just won't mount it. That Magellan is a huge display! :)

I will be trying the tool that lets me set the idle issue. Just have to find the time to do it. Getting things ready for winter. I have a few little things to do on the Honda. Check out "The Million Dollar Bogan". He rides a Harley Pa Am but it isn't made for what he does with that bike. Worth watching. Also I put two more straps across the seat on the Honda. Looks great now. Norman.

I have a question for you about the Boulevard. I know you had a video on lubing the forward end of the driveshaft. But I saw another video where someone talked about making sure the other end of the shaft is also lubed. Have you any concerns about that end? Supposedly there is clip and a seal that needs removed.

I don't recall seeing anything about it. I will look through some videos. Also someone ask about the handle bars on my Honda and I told them about a man from the U.K. had a Honda 1100 for sale and you could see he put higher bars on it and not the risers. The bike was blue. I looked a long time to find it but he may have taken it down. Never did find it. Norman.

A little tall for me but so smooth. The bike was $1800 and with transfer , title and all the rest I needed to get it back on the road , about $2500. Not bad! So many bikes out there that surprise me how great they are. Ride safe. Norman.

I bought a 2001 St1100 this past July. I have watched some of your videos but not all of them yet. Can you give me some information on the handlebar risers. I put 30mm extension risers on mine but still not comfortable. I noticed you have some pretty tall risers on yours.
@2001himax

Hi Trent, My bike has risers then on top of that it has another set that angles the bars back towards the rider. They were on it when I got the bike so I don't know where he bought them or if he had to get longer cables. On You-Tube I saw a man with a Honda S.T. for sale and it had a set of bars that were higher bars so he didn't need risers. He was in the U.K. He must have put longer cables on. If I can find it I will leave a link to it so you can see how he did it. Norman.

I can't find that video. He may have taken it down. On You-Tube put in "Red Wire Fix". I did this to my bike even though my connector was OK. There is more than one video on this problem with the Honda 1100. Norman.

Hi Matthieu, The Honda ST 1100 is a super smooth riding bike but is a tall bike. My video "SHAVE THE SEAT, BEND THE KICKSTAND" shows what I did to my bike to be able to ride it. I am 5' 3". The valves are very involved to set. I made a video I was going to put up but lost some of the video. The bike is no longer being made so they can be found cheep but you can see on my videos what needs to be done to get them back on the road. Mine is a 1993. The Suzuki C50 is a great bike but my 2012 C50 has the idle issue that others are having too. If you can I would suggest to buy new. Some things to think about. Whatever bike you buy get a work book on it. Hope this helps you. All my best Norman.

Very nice video & ride. I really enjoyed your commentary. I also wave to every biker I pass. If a biker doesn't wave back, they either didn't see me or they are an asshole (excuse my language).

Language excused, I like to think maybe they just had a bad day or were in deep thought and missed my wave. Have a great day. Norman.
