I always try and grab at least one peice of trash off the trail when im out as well! Love the Trail bike adventures, little bikes make the most challenging trails orders od magnatude easier!

Indeed just a simple loop can be a grand adventure on a small bike. This day was 7 hours or so and probably could be done in 3 on my 300L. But there were moments I was glad I wasn't trying to hold on to a bigger bike. The slower pace is a different mind set and besides the suspension, more enjoyable in many ways. Thanks for watching!

Pretty cool that you're just taking it easy and living within your bike's limitations.

Thanks for kind words, I actually hit 61 mph but in trying to edit out all the head bobbing it got cut. 52ish is the limit on flat ground at my altitude.

The main difference between the 125 honda and a KTM 450 off road is the slow guitar music in the 125 videos

Reminds me a lot of the terrain in Wyoming. I lived there for 19 years and learned how to ride motorcycles, hunt and fish that area. Great place to grow up. Hows the front forks working on your bike? Haven't seen a video from you in a while........
@zamdrang
Жыл бұрын
Yes just south of Rock Springs, very similar terrain. I haven't been too impressed with the YSS fork kit actually. The rebound adjusters are nice, but the spring is actually a smaller wire diameter than stock and softer, and the PD valve really does nothing. There are some comments on ride with warro's channel from someone explaining it more fully and with more suspension knowledge than I, but basically the stock piston doesn't flow enough fluid to allow the PD valve to work as designed. I'm running the stock spring with the YSS rebound adjuster, still leaves a lot to be desired in rough terrain. Have had much time dedicate to video editing, it's incredibly time consuming. But currently working on a 12 day adventure my son and I did on CRF 300s. Hoping to start uploading it soon

@@zamdrang I'm seriously contemplating installing the Ohlins front fork kit and ditching the YSS kit. Taking out the YSS springs and going back to the stock and adding more oil than what they suggested did allow to stiffen the front end up some, but it is way less smooth than a CRF and does not allow any speed in rough terrain. I'll try the Ohlins and hopefully they will be much better, probably won't be much better though......

@@TeamDNFracing same experience, the stock spring and more oil did help, but still load of room for an improvement. The person on Warros channel commented that he bought a another set of stock pistons and drilled 2 additional 1/64 holes (I think I have that right) in them which allowed the PD valve to work as designed. I will be curious to hear how the Ohlins does for you. I have been riding my 300 when I go off road and my Grom and Navi on road so the trail has found itself without much use. Plus it's 5 below outside 😁

@@zamdrang I'll be doing a video on the Ohlins when I install them and ride. I'm hoping it will make the front end comparable to todays off road play bikes. Maybe it will, more than likely it won't. But I've got to try something as the stock forks even with the YSS kit are pretty much like a pogo stick up front, sometimes you get a smooth bounce and sometimes it wants to punch you over the handlebars...... Honda definitely could have done better for the price that the public in the states are paying for the bike....... We'll let you know what we find out..... Thanks for staying up on this issue......

Oh my God! What else can you say about this bike I mean come on! I don’t care what size bike you have off road is hard I did it on a Suzuki vstrom 650 while recovering from cancer [that was a mistake) thought I was stronger than I actually was! There were guys on the same bike as mine 2x my size and they were warn out also. Where was this video shot? Dam good bike.

Have you changed the gearing on your bike?
@zamdrang
Жыл бұрын
I experimented with a 15t sprocket, ended up going back to the stock 14t. It did smooth out the buzz a bit, but it doesn't have enough power to pull the higher gearing, not at my altitude anyway
