This bike changed my life style, I rode Harley-Davidson all my life and a retired Harley-Davidson mechanic, until the day I had the chance to ride one of these Valkyries , I had to have one , I couldn’t believe the ride instead of riding from bar to bar now I ride coast to coast, this has to be the best riding motorcycles ever and never have any trouble with it either, such a great bike, I’ve road tested every bike made and can’t find anything to replace it so I guess I have a bike for life

Most comfortable bike I’ve ever had , paid $2500 with 5 thousand miles on it been Coast to Coast a few times now have 80,000 miles and no break downs nothing but pure fun, so reliable and what a piece of mind that is when your going long distance, wish they would remake this bike with that gold wing fuel injected motor

Just bought my first Valk in August. A '99 with 37,000 miles for $4,200. I've put 2,000 miles on her in two months. I'm loving this big girl! She hits all the right notes. The grumble of the exhaust is like angry rock and roll. I got on her a bit yesterday and she wanted to jump out of my hands. Gotta be careful - she's a spirited filly!

Yes, its fast but not freaky fast, lots of muscle cruisers might can beat it now. But it won't get embarrassed. M-109, V-Rod , V-Max, Rocket 3 all probably got more sheer HP but for the Valk it is more comfortable then those bikes. Cruisers are getting bigger and more powerful all the time. I got my Valk to hit the top speed of 130 mph I figure that's fast enough, most cruisers can't hit that speed some can but not all.

These bikes are actually quite inexpensive. I purchased mine in 2012 for only $8000 but now (2020) they are going for much less. You can find them online for as low as $3000... You should get one. They are super awesome.

@@djhubba I have a 2001 Suzuki 650 Dr that needs a rear tyre now that I can't afford yet so that will have to wait, lol. There is no place in my country to really enjoy power houses. My island is 11 by 13 miles with the longest straight stretches being a few hundred metres and blind corners, potholes, and near 45 deg. Slopes to contend with. I would like to see what bike you guys would find ideal here. Choosing a tyre now is hard as I have a few hundred feet needing a knobby to get up my dirt drive then pitted and loose asphalt for sometime then good roads are usually wet with rain... Bless.

I have owned three Goldwing. I currently run a 2,000 Honda Valkyrie red and black is a beautiful machine. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I am a Retired mechanic with over 40 years of experience I've worked on many bikes including Harleys I have no problem with them. But I'll take a valkyrie any day. They're just so reliable. And I have never been out run by Harley ..Yet !!!! However I know they are out there.

Hope you still have her. Bet she's coming along pretty well in the last 14 months since you posted this video! Hope you don't mind, but I liked your video so much that I embedded it on my website - "The Honda Valkyrie Pages" - "the Honda Valkyrie in print and pictures". Won't tell you what page it's on, but, since you ride a Valk, you might enjoy searching for it! You can check out my site here..... thehondavalkyriepages.blogspot.com/ Ride Safe

vmax have been a bad ass on the street since the 80's,and yes there are a lot of bikes that are faster in a drag race, but for the last 23 years the valkyrie always beats the competition in all around cruiser. no one can match it in every catagory. mine is over 20 years old,and has never broken or left me on the side of theroad. t starts every time, even in 30 degree weather. still looks and rides betterthan new. these things have 6 layers of paint and 3 of clear coat. want a bike that will outlive you, this is the one

@@Antonigear I love the Valkyrie as well, and know all about the reliability of a Honda, I have a 2003 VTX1800. The Valkyrie definitely crushes the gen 1 Vmax and in my opinion is just hairs below the Gen 2.

Instead 6x253ccm I'd rather had 3x750ccm in a bike that's made in England. The Valkyrie is a very good cruiser, but I think the Triumph Rocket III is better in many reasons..

SH1974 Correct. Except for reliability, the Rocket is a superior machine. But remember, Triumph designed the Rocket in response to the Valk. I sold my Valk and bought a Rocket. Both amazing bikes.
