Just testing this out on the stock engine bore size. I am really doing it in preparation for installation of a big bore kit that will need more airflow in this area and was curious how it might affect the performance of the stock engine. It has worked out well for me on the stock engine in conjunction with a PZ30 carburetor but it’s easy to mess up and may cost you money if done wrong!
Disclaimer:
If you want to try a PZ27 or PZ30 carburetor it can be installed in conjunction with a throttle cable change. I just connected the two hoses together (the ones no longer used by the PZ style carburetors), there may be a better way to do it. There are also fuel vapors present inside that canister that one hose is connected to so please be very careful with whatever you decide to do with yours. I have seen people totally remove this system also (maybe look online for how they did it).
