$3.50 is too small of an amount to test most people's honesty. Put a 20 or 50 dollar bill in the pocket and you will see a big difference in the outcome.

don't judge all Asian based on these two, 6 years ago I was in Malaysia, Kuala Lampour. my friend who's studying at the university there forgot his back bag in the taxi, it had his wallet, 500$ cash, passport, phone and a 2000$ camera. it was pretty late that night, so my friend waited 4 hours hoping the taxi will come back but he didn't. the next day the Malaysian taxi driver come himself to the university and handed the bag to my friend, he found the student card in his wallet, the taxi apologized to my friend that he didn't come back because he went to sleep and he found the bag the next day. my friend offered him a lot of a money as a reward but he refused to take anything, he said just pray for me brother. I swear the taxi could have took all the stuff and got away with it but he was such an honest man ! may God bless where ever he is right now ..

I worked in the dry cleaning industry for years It’s not always that the employees are pocketing the money. If employees are busy and they don’t check pockets then it goes down the drain and with time clogged’s up a machine and you find out the hard way with a $2,000 plus repair bill by that time the money isn’t worth keeping what’s left of it.

I’ve been working in my parents dry cleaners ever since I was 6 and if we find like 1-10 dollars we would put it in the register because you probably didn’t give a fuck enough to realize it was missing. We also always find jewelry, credit/debit cards, watches etc.. and that is always returned. Half the time when the money is found its before putting them into the machine and all the clothes are mixed up, so in order to find out whose clothes those were you would have to go through every ticket and find the matching tag, shits not worth it for 2 dollars.
